Assembly of the Year Award 2018

This Grand Banquet is one I won’t forget because my assembly got enough points for Assembly of the Year.  Ever since I was a pledge, I have heard the older girls in my assembly dream of getting that award.  This past year we were all more driven than ever before to get the award and all of us worked hard and it paid off.  I am proud of my assembly sisters for everything we did this year to reach our goal.  From travel, to competitions, initiations, service and fun projects we worked so hard and I hope we can keep up the pace for future years.  Also, I want to thank all the parents and board members from Manassas Assembly for supporting us in helping to meet our goal as this award represents your hard work as well!

Tennessee Grand Assembly

Posted in Blog on July 27th, 2018 by Christi Reed

On Saturday morning, June 23rd, Emma, my mom and I headed to the opening session of Tennessee Grand Assembly.   Before the opening session, I competed in the Tennessee ritual competition. They have a competition just for out of state guests. Then we had opening and introductions, it was great to come back and see all of the Tennessee Rainbow Girls I have met from past visits and meet new ones.  Sierra, the Grand Worthy Advisor did a beautiful job opening Tennessee 88th “Our Adventure Awaits” Grand Assembly.   Later that night was introductions and all dignitaries were introduced and following that I gave my speech about Virginia Rainbow.  Unfortunately we had to leave the next morning due to a doctor’s appointment but I am extremely excited to visit next year.

South Carolina Grand Assembly

Posted in Blog on July 27th, 2018 by Christi Reed

South Carolina Grand Assembly began on Thursday, June 21st. Sami is the Grand Representative to South Carolina. Vanessa, Emma, Sami, Eliza, Allison, Mom Robin, Mom Paula, and myself attended. Mom Renn and Mom Donna Kluefer were also there. When we arrived, we attended the special dinner with the Grand Officers and Grand Reps of South Carolina. We then went into the opening session. I saw my counterpart, Bethany from when I was a Grand Rep to South Carolina. On Friday, Sam gave her speech. I met a new Rainbow girl, Tabitha. They announced their new Grand WAA on Friday and it turned out it was Tabitha. We were so excited for her! We hung out with her for most of our time at Grand Assembly. Several of us got to be judges for the competitions. It was so cool to see the Southern Belle competition again! South Carolina was so fun! I loved seeing friends from our first visit two years ago and I loved making new ones! I was sad to leave but at least I will see some of them soon at our Grand Assembly and Supreme Assembly!
