Springfield Installation

The weekend of 7/28/2019, was a busy one for me and VA Rainbow, but after all of my swim team events were over I was able to go to the Springfield Installation.  Marisa B. was installed as Worthy Advisor for Springfield Assembly #14.  Marisa’s theme is, “My Country and Survival”; her mascot is an elephant; and her Charity is the Wounded Warrior Project.  The ceremony was nice and the reception afterwards had some really good food!

It was nice to see the support for them.  While I was the only member from Manassas, Ashburn also came with one member and one pledge, and Quantico – Freedom Assembly brought seven members.  It all made for a pretty good turn out considering it was the same day as the Hampton Installation.  Good luck to all the newly installed officers this term!

Father’s Day Program for Our Masons

Posted in Blog on July 22nd, 2019 by Christi Reed

On Friday, June 7th, Manassas Assembly arrived at the lodge before the Masons had their regular business meeting. We prepared a Father’s Day program to present to them in honor of Father’s Day coming up this month! We ran through a quick practice while they started eating the dinner that the Prince William DeMolay Chapter made for them. Then we joined them in the dining hall! We ate super fast so we could get back in the lodge room to get ready. The ceremony went pretty well and I think the Masons and their guests really enjoyed it!

Christmas in Manassas

Manassas Assembly Christmas Party

On December 11, 2018, Manassas Assembly held its annual Christmas Party.  There was plenty of hot cocoa and treats to go around after the regular meeting.  I missed the meeting part due to my orchestra concert, but I was able to hurry out after my performance and change into my ugly sweater on the way to the Christmas party.  I was sure to bring a little gift for each of the members in attendance that night as well as a gift for the white elephant gift exchange.  There was plenty of gift snatching but it was all in good fun.  I ended it with a beautiful rainbow colored butterfly necklace.  Alyssa won the ugly sweater contest, but I think Dad Clancy was robbed of the title.  We all had a good time!

Movie Night in Manassas

Manassas Movie Night 12/15/2018

On December 15, 2018, Manassas Assembly held a movie night.  It just so happened to be right after we did the third initiation of the term.  There was plenty of hot cocoa, popcorn and other treats to go around after the initiation meeting.  Several moms helped out Mom Deborah in the kitchen with the popcorn.  Most girls brought pajamas and blankets so they could get comfortable to watch the movies for the night.  They were both Christmas themed.  It was a fun way to spend a Saturday night and welcome our newest Rainbow Sister to the assembly.
