Open Meeting 

On September 10^th, Manassas Assembly held an open meeting where people could bring friends, siblings, and prospects.  The meeting was pretty interesting because not only was it an open meeting, but it was also Tiki night.  People were asked to dress to represent Tiki.  We then voted on the best dressed member and the best dressed adult.  Elina won for the members and Mom Paula won for the adults.  The meeting was a success because we were able to get two petitions out of it.  Now I have to review my part for initiation again.

Karaoke Night 

On September 14^th, Manassas lodge hosted a karaoke night after having a cookout dinner.  We had lots of fun and many people sang including:  Dad Tom and Dad Harold.  Mom Joanne took a ton of pictures for the scrapbook.  They served ice cream as a snack while people sang.  I had to leave early because I was having dinner with my dad, but while I was there, I had a good time.

On August 10, I was happy to join Manassas Assembly and their flamingo flocking fundraiser group for Allison’s charity project. Along with Allison, Katie, Sami, Vanessa, and Eliza, we went all around Manassas putting pink flamingos in different yards. Our first stop was our very own Mom Jenkins! During the flocking process, there was a Grand Executive Board Meeting taking place and we had to make sure that she didn’t see us! We were all scrambling around trying not to get Ike’s attention too! The next place we had to stop by was Cheryl’s house. When we finished flocking and taking our pictures with them, we got caught! So we all ran to our cars and tried to drive away as fast as we could while we were still laughing! The last house we stopped by was Mom Erin’s house. We had to make sure we were very quiet because there were people inside. After placing all the flamingos we all headed to eat lunch at either Moe’s or Five Guys. Overall it was such a fun day full of laughter and a lot of flamingo flocking but I am so happy that I was able to help take part in raising money for Allison’s charity!

On August 17^th Manassas had a scrapbooking event after the ice cream social.  It was very productive!  Gigi made great pages for this past Grand Assembly.  We just need to get more pictures so we can do more.
