The evening of July 24th, I attended the Conclave Dance. Personally, I prefer to sit on the sides at a dance, but I still had an absolute blast! It was so much fun to watch everyone dancing and seeing all the real moments that would be later captured by Mom Erin’s pictures! It was a great time to meet new people, catch up with friends, and make new memories!
Allison – Manassas #13
On Sunday, July 24th, Samantha was installed as Worthy Advisor of Richmond Assembly! It was a fun theme, “Finding Magic From Within”, that allowed for a lot of fun watching the installation! I loved how the ‘court wizard’ sent Samantha on a ‘quest’ for her gavel and was presented with her mascots as ‘companions for the quest’! The Installing Team did an exceedingly beautiful job, and the music was very fitting for the theme! The decorations, food, and carrying pieces all were beautiful in furthering her theme and making us all feel like we were on a quest through the forest! I know Richmond Assembly is going to have a blast this term with Samantha leading them all to find their inner magic!
Allison – Manassas #13
On August 1st, 2021, Fredericksburg Assembly #12 held their Installation of Officers at 2 pm. Anna was installed as Worthy Advisor and I was asked to serve as Installing Marshal. Anna chose to base the assembly’s term theme off the anime Hunter x Hunter. There was a lot of theming around the entire lodge, which included butterflies and playing cards. My favorite part of the installation was when Ashley and the rest of the assembly put together a skit for Anna to go through an exam and to receive her “hunter’s license” to go along with the theming of the term and to find her mascots. Anna’s mascot is the whale which she named Shizuku. Anna also received a new gavel and sounding block from her parents which had the Hunter x Hunter logo on them. Following the Installation, refreshments were served. I am so happy that I was able to help my friends at a sister assembly!

Following the Installation earlier that day, my assembly did some more driving to the DeMolay Conclave Dance. We got a chance to sit and socialize, and to have fun dancing and seeing our friends. Some of the moms were having so much fun that we were the ones that had to drag them off the dance floor! We also made sure to sign in with Sarah R. since it was the first event of the “Countdown to Midnight” challenge for the Grand year.
