For the breakfast we served Waffles, Sausages, Eggs, and Potatoes. For the Bake Sale, we had different types of cookies.  It is always a lot of fun for us all!

Flamingo Flocking

Posted in Blog on September 12th, 2019 by Christi Reed

On August 10, I was happy to join Manassas Assembly and their flamingo flocking fundraiser group for Allison’s charity project. Along with Allison, Katie, Sami, Vanessa, and Eliza, we went all around Manassas putting pink flamingos in different yards. Our first stop was our very own Mom Jenkins! During the flocking process, there was a Grand Executive Board Meeting taking place and we had to make sure that she didn’t see us! We were all scrambling around trying not to get Ike’s attention too! The next place we had to stop by was Cheryl’s house. When we finished flocking and taking our pictures with them, we got caught! So we all ran to our cars and tried to drive away as fast as we could while we were still laughing! The last house we stopped by was Mom Erin’s house. We had to make sure we were very quiet because there were people inside. After placing all the flamingos we all headed to eat lunch at either Moe’s or Five Guys. Overall it was such a fun day full of laughter and a lot of flamingo flocking but I am so happy that I was able to help take part in raising money for Allison’s charity!

Lady Shriners’ Dinner

Posted in Blog on September 11th, 2019 by Christi Reed

On August 8, Kaitlyn R., Sarah R., Jordan B., Aaliyah P., Jamyah P., and I served the Lady Shriners with Kempsville Chapter and Bethel 42. For dinner, we served salad, rolls, chicken, pork, potatoes, and green beans. For dessert we served apple cobbler and ice cream. We did all of this for their Grand High Priestess’s visit.  We all had a fun time and are very glad that we were able to serve and support our Masonic Family.

Ashburn’s Installation

Posted in Blog on September 10th, 2019 by Christi Reed

On August 10, Sarah R. and I, along with Mom Christi and Mom Anne Marie, went up to Ashburn to witness to installation of Ashburn Assembly. The trip up was very long but we all had a blast! When we got up to the assembly we were greeted with so many friendly faces and everyone was so welcoming. Lizzie was going in as the new Worthy Advisor for their assembly. The theme that she choose was to love yourself with her mascot being a dog. The charity Lizzie choose was the Loudoun County Animal Shelter because of her love for animals. Following the installation, we had a taco bar that was very delicious! After the dinner there was a dance that followed but sadly we couldn’t stay because we had to head home. Overall, I loved the installation and I had such a fun time seeing everyone from up north and get to see a glimpse of what is in store for Lizzie and Ashburn Assembly!
