Drive Home Scary Stories

Posted in Blog on March 30th, 2020 by Christi Reed

On the way home from the drive in movie theater, we listened to many scary stories to help keep us awake. Lauren, Sarah and I were laughing so hard when Mom Christi started to freak out about the stories! They were all very spooky and helped made the ride go by faster from the long ride home from Manassas. Even though it was scary listening to these stories, I had a lot of fun laughs to share with some of my Rainbow sisters!

Kempsville Demolay Installation

Posted in Blog on March 29th, 2020 by Christi Reed

On September 21, Norfolk Assembly was happy to attend the Kempsville Chapter Installation! Junior was going in as the next Master Counselor and the installation went very well. All of his installing officers did very well on their parts and everything went so smoothly! All the Kempsville boys were also presented with medals for winning their competition that was held when they went to Oklahoma. Also, our very own Phoenix was chosen to be the Chapter Sweetheart for the term! We were so excited! Lastly, we all went downstairs for refreshments and a dance to follow the end of the night. Overall, it was such a fun and exciting installation and I can’t wait to see all the many achievements Junior will make throughout his term!

Most Active

Posted in Blog on March 28th, 2020 by Christi Reed

For the month of September, the Norfolk assembly girls decided to vote on who was the one Rainbow Member and adult that was the most active for the month of September. That month, mom Christi was chosen for the Most Active Rainbow Adult and Sarah was chosen for the Most Active Rainbow Girl! Great job to both of them!

Grand Officer Practice

Posted in Blog on March 27th, 2020 by Christi Reed

The Grand Officers of Norfolk headed up to Manassas for the Grand Officer practice that was the same day as the drive in movie night. It was a very long drive heading up there, but we made it to practice just in time. There, all the grand officers went over their parts for opening and closing of an assembly. Next, we started to learn the opening and closing marches for Grand Assembly. The song choices were very cool and upbeat! The walking part took some time to learn, but all of the grand officers soon got the hang of it! Overall, it was a very well run grand officer practice and all the girls were able to perform their parts will little errors.
