Murder Mystery Planning – 9-27-2019

On September 27^th, there was a planning committee meeting for the Murder Mystery Party on November 2nd.  I am really getting excited about the party!  Mom Joanne, Kate B., Gigi, Mom Priscilla, Dalanie, Mom Louisa, and I were busy working on getting character packages ready.  Dalanie, Kate and I cut out the bribe money for the character packages.  I also helped to make dinner for the night after that Dalanie, Kate and I watched a Hallmark movie and relaxed the rest of the evening while everyone else did additional planning work.  This event should be a great.

FLAMINGOS FLOCKED VIRGINIA

Manassas Assembly kicked off the term in full flocking gear!  Immediately after the installation, 3 teams of girls set out to “flock” yards with FLAMINGOS! Over the next 6 weeks, flocking requests were received and these teams retrieved the Flamingos and re-homed them to another yard.  They would remain there for the next 24 to 48 hours and then be moved again.

We flocked over 45 houses.  Mainly, the Flamingos “landed” in yards in and around Manassas.  They ventured as far north as Reston, Ashburn and Sterling and even went south to Virginia Beach and Williamsburg for a weekend!!

Thank you to all that supported this event.  We were able to raise over $2,100 for our charity this term – ACTS!!!

Open Meeting 

On September 10^th, Manassas Assembly held an open meeting where people could bring friends, siblings, and prospects.  The meeting was pretty interesting because not only was it an open meeting, but it was also Tiki night.  People were asked to dress to represent Tiki.  We then voted on the best dressed member and the best dressed adult.  Elina won for the members and Mom Paula won for the adults.  The meeting was a success because we were able to get two petitions out of it.  Now I have to review my part for initiation again.

Karaoke Night 

On September 14^th, Manassas lodge hosted a karaoke night after having a cookout dinner.  We had lots of fun and many people sang including:  Dad Tom and Dad Harold.  Mom Joanne took a ton of pictures for the scrapbook.  They served ice cream as a snack while people sang.  I had to leave early because I was having dinner with my dad, but while I was there, I had a good time.
