Quantico-Freedom Assembly Installation

January 11th, 2020

JoElla

On January 11th, Zoë  got installed as Worthy Advisor at my home assembly, Quantico-Freedom #6. Before her installation, we finally got chartered and became an official assembly. This was a giant leap from last June, when Mom J let us open originally.

The girls who attended were, JoElla, Zoë, Zoey, M’balu, Batu, Lillian, Akshita, Audrey, Kassie, Jazmin, Dionna, and Abby. Zoë’s theme this term is Sleeping Beauty. Her mascots are Phillip the owl, and Eleanor the dragon. Zoë’s charity is ACTS, a Prince William County based charity that helps out the less fortunate with anything they need.

Her colors are pink, blue, green and gold. Her flower is the red rose. After the installation, we all cleaned up the lodge room, then got ready for the sleepover that was held at the lodge later that evening.

The sleepover and installation were both a great time, and I know we are going to achieve a lot this term!

August 25th was Herndon Chapter DeMolay’s Installation. BJ was installed as Master Councilor. His sister is a past Honored Queen, and she was named as Chapter Sweetheart. There was a dessert bar afterwards and I had a root beer float! Only my mom and I attended.

Ashburn’s Installation

Posted in Blog on September 10th, 2019 by Christi Reed

On August 10, Sarah R. and I, along with Mom Christi and Mom Anne Marie, went up to Ashburn to witness to installation of Ashburn Assembly. The trip up was very long but we all had a blast! When we got up to the assembly we were greeted with so many friendly faces and everyone was so welcoming. Lizzie was going in as the new Worthy Advisor for their assembly. The theme that she choose was to love yourself with her mascot being a dog. The charity Lizzie choose was the Loudoun County Animal Shelter because of her love for animals. Following the installation, we had a taco bar that was very delicious! After the dinner there was a dance that followed but sadly we couldn’t stay because we had to head home. Overall, I loved the installation and I had such a fun time seeing everyone from up north and get to see a glimpse of what is in store for Lizzie and Ashburn Assembly!

Norfolk’s Installation

Posted in Blog on September 8th, 2019 by Christi Reed

On July 27th, we had our Installation of officers. Jordan B. went in as our Worthy Advisor, showing us what an amazing leader she is. The rest of the girls in our assembly got amazing new stations with a couple girls getting stations they haven’t had before. Amazing things will come from our WA as we will be helping the Portsmouth Homeless shelter as our charity project for the new term. We had amazing guests from other organizations including DeMolay, Jobies, and Masons. We had our amazing Past Grand Worthy Advisors and even our current Grand Worthy Advisor visit such a beautiful Installation. Many guests were introduced as Jordan B. gave them her great heroic quotes to lead them on their heroic paths. To tell you a little bit more about our term for this up coming year, the theme is “Let Your Inner Superhero Out”. Our motto is, “ When you decide not to be afraid, you can find friends in super unexpected places,” by Mrs. Marvel. The symbol for the term is Captain American’s shield, the honor station is Hope, our colors are the rainbow colors, the mascot is Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy and our flowers are Carnations. The scripture that we will lead with is from Philippians 4:13 “Christ gives me the strength to do anything.” Our songs will include “Hero” by Mariah Carey and “Heroes” by Danny Elfman. Last but not least, the Worthy Advisor chose the Portsmouth Homeless Shelter as both her service and charity project. At the end of the beautiful Installation, with some crying along the way, we all couldn’t wait to eat the food that was prepared for us down stairs. We had BBQ meatballs, pasta salad, baked chicken, and much more. For dessert, there were cupcakes and a yummy chocolate fountain with many goodies to be covered with the chocolate, such as pineapple and marshmallows. When everyone was done eating some people went over to our heroic photo booth to enjoy some fun hero mask of our favorite marvel heroes and other fun props.
