On Sunday April 8, Lauren, Alex, Reagan, and Kensley attended Immanuel Baptist Church for Rainbow Sunday. Pastor Brian was lively and spoke about how we hear God. He made the attending people think, but in a way that wasn’t too complicated. At the end of the service we gave Pastor Brian a thank you card for allowing us to use the church’s gym for our vendor fair. Then we went to Red Robin and ate lunch. We looked at the several pictures around and saw one that said “ Do I have ketchup in my mustache “ we were with Dad Gansler and since he has a mustache we asked him to recreate it and he did. We joked around until our food came and had an overall good time. Lauren, Alex, Reagan, and Kensley then headed to our Lodge to practice for Competitions. We stayed late going over our parts but still had a good time.

On Saturday March 24th, Sara and Libbie attended the Mystery Dinner of Manassas Assembly. Each person had to write numbers under a set of 4 courses and those numbers would determine what item you got each round. My table ate chocolate pudding with our fingers because we got the pudding but no silverware! It was so much fun to see the silly combinations we each got. After that was all finished, the Manassas Girls put out a regular meal with ham and vegetables and great dessert for anyone who was still hungry after the mystery dinner rounds were complete. There was an amazing turn out and everyone had such a great time. We always love going to see the Girls in Manassas and enjoying their events.

On March 24th, Hampton Assembly went to Richmond Assembly’s Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser. Lauren, Reagan, and I traveled up to Richmond after our vendor fair to spend time with our Sisters and to support them in raising money for the charities they have chosen for this term. We had an amazing dinner, and there were even a few treats that we were able to see! Baby Charlotte was there and we were able to see her walk and play; she even stole Sierra’s mascot! It was so much fun to be able to see our Richmond sisters, and I can’t wait to see them again soon!

On March 24th, Hampton Assembly participated in their monthly service event, feeding the homeless. Mom Beth drove Lauren, Amelia, and me to FHCUMC while Kensley and the others stayed at the Vendor Fair. When Mom Beth put the peanut butter and jelly on the bread Lauren, Amelia, and I raced to see who could spread it the fastest. There were snacks in the brown paper bags for the homeless: a fruit, an egg, and two sandwiches. Somewhere in the process of putting the sandwiches in the bags we either ended up having too many or too little. In the end we always ended up having so much fun laughing and talking, today was a very eventful day!
