Kings Dominion Fun Day – 9/26/21

Posted in Blog on February 22nd, 2022 by Christi Reed

On September 26th, Quantico-Freedom Assembly took a fun trip to Kings Dominion. We left in the mid-morning in time for the 2pm opening of the park. We spent time going on roller coasters and playing games at the arcades. We ended up with several stuffed animals, including a pink elephant that I won with my superb bowling abilities! We stayed for a few hours and walked through some haunted houses before making the drive home. I love getting to make trips to parks like this because I get to see my friends and have fun with them!

Summertime

Posted in Blog on August 29th, 2021 by Christi Reed

My favorite thing that I look forward to every summer is looking for bugs. I have a high interest in them, and summer is just warm enough for them to crawl out. I always take pictures of the ones I find to be the most interesting, and sometimes I even hold them. Thankfully, I have only been bitten once. I also try to identify the species by comparing my pictures to information I find online. Although I’m sad this summer is coming to a close, that just means there will be more opportunities for fun next year.

Driving to Richmond Assembly

Posted in Blog on August 18th, 2021 by Christi Reed

On July 24, we drove up to Richmond Assembly for their installation. On the car ride up to Richmond, we listened to 80s music, which my mom sang out loud, and talked about upcoming events. We talked about all the fun events that we will be able to attend this year. We have all greatly missed seeing our sisters in person! We had Wawa for breakfast and got Chickfilà for a later breakfast. It was a really fun car ride! What a Fun Ride! Having fun makes the rides go that much faster!

Years…and years of friendship!

Posted in Blog on August 15th, 2021 by Christi Reed

Do you know what it looks like when your mom is still best friends with her Grand Worthy Advisor? (Yes, from a long time ago!) On July 16, we drove up to Ashburn just to be able to hang out before a busy Rainbow weekend. I went to dinner with Kaitlyn, Ryan, and Ella and our parents. We went to Chuy’s (we don’t have those where we live) and Ryan had a burrito called “Big as Yo Face.” The name of the burrito had me cracking up…but Kaitlyn couldn’t even say the name of her order without laughing about it. She ordered a Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom enchilada. We were all laughing about her order. Fun fact: Dad P’s favorite restaurant is Chuy’s. The meal and fun was certainly memorable and I got a t-shirt for the memories! Ryan is also one of the funniest guys I know! I am so glad the friendship has lasted for so long and that we are able to find time to hang out.
