Smithfield Assembly

On Saturday, February 3rd, Smithfield Assembly held a called meeting for Initiation.  Manassas Assembly had 4 girls travel to assist with the ceremony.  Gigi protemmed as WAA, Vanessa protemmed as Patriotism, Katie protemmed as Fidelity and I protemmed as Love.  When we arrived, they asked if anyone knew the part of Hope, so Katie filled in at the last minute and did that part too!  I am glad that we were able to attend and help our Rainbow sisters out!  Congratulations to Smithfield on gaining a new member.

Richmond Installation

January 27, 2018

I arrived at 2pm on January 27th for Richmond Assembly #10’s Installation.  There were so many people there and the opening was great.  Sierra Jackson was installed as Worthy Advisor and her theme this term is: Walk the Stage with Broadway Musicals and her programs had several different musicals on their cover.  My favorite one was Hamilton and they played songs from that musical during the Installation so we sang along from the audience.  The line officers even put on a skit for her and Dad Grist did a special poem for Sierra’s crowning ceremony.  Her mascot this term is a red panda that she named Perc.  It was a great beginning to what looks like will be a very successful term.  Once installation was done pictures were taken and we got to vote for the best decorated table in the dining room and then refreshments were served.  Several Rainbow Girls were there from the Manassas Assembly #13: Gigi, Delanie, Zoey, Mackenzie, M’Balu, Joella, Alyssa, and me along with many of our adults which included:  Dad Clancy, Mom Priscilla, Mom Jean, Mom Ange, and Mom Louisa.

Smithfield Installation

Posted in Blog on March 8th, 2018 by Webmaster

On February 3rd, 2018 Smithfield Assembly held their Installation of Officers. Jordyn was installed as Worthy Advisor. I had the honor of being their Installing Marshall, Vanessa from my Assembly was Installing Chaplain. The members of Manassas Assembly present were: Katie, Sami, Vanessa, and myself. In the Worthy Advisor’s speech Jordyn said she loved Rainbow for many reasons, one of which was the fact that her Rainbow Sisters loved her without trying to change her. Her friends knew who she was and that she was shy, and they loved her anyway, telling her she didn’t have to pretend to be an extrovert to be happy. Her theme centered around wildflowers.

After the Installation, I shared a quote with Jordyn that I felt matched her theme and her speech, “A sunflower does not have to change into a rose in order to be beautiful”. Everyone is different, but our differences are what make us beautiful.

The Installation was beautiful, the members of Smithfield Assembly are always so kind, I hope that they have an amazing term!

Springfield Installation

Posted in Blog on February 8th, 2018 by Webmaster

On January 14th, 2018, Mom Robin, Mom Paula, Katie, Sami, Vanessa, and a prospect, Emma, from Manassas Assembly all attended Springfield’s Installation of Officers. The Worthy Advisor installed was Hannah along with 9 other officers. The Installing Officers did a great job.  They had a wonderful Installation with a very cool crowning ceremony presented by the Masons. Hannah’s charities are the Wildlife Conservation Society and Save the Children Organization. She had a lovely closing speech and I can’t wait to see all the beautiful things she and her Assembly will do this term.
