Monitor Lodge Breakfast

Posted in Blog on February 20th, 2017 by Webmaster

Monitor Lodge held their usual breakfast for the community on February 4th. Hampton is always ready to make (and eat) breakfast! We made tater tots, eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, biscuits, and apples. There was a big turnout and lots of friendly faces. I met little girls, older men, and everyone in between! It’s always so nice to see people eating with their family and chatting with friends. I’m truly blessed to be a part of Hampton Assembly so that I can be a part of something bigger than myself: a community.

The Secret Garden in Manassas

Posted in Blog on January 28th, 2017 by Webmaster

On Saturday, January 14th, Manassas Assembly held their Installation of Officers. Vanessa was installed at Worthy Advisor. We have so many girls in our Assembly that we even installed a Choir Director and a member in the choir! Vanessa’s theme is “Secret Garden” and her motto is “Soar To Your Own Rainbow.” Her colors are pink and blue. Her symbol is the butterfly and her flower is wild flowers. The mascot was a surprise. Special Olympics is her charity project. Vanessa shared many of her events and I’m excited to see what she brings this term!

2016 Job’s Daughters Pageant

Posted in Blog on December 6th, 2016 by Webmaster

rachal-at-jobs-daughters-pageantjobs-daughters-pageantHampton Assembly went to the Job’s Daughters Pageant to support our Sisters. We were so proud to see Camran up there as the outgoing Miss Congeniality and Scarlet and Leanne as two of the Pageant contestants. It was hosted at the Doubletree where we have our Grand Assembly, so I felt very at home as soon as I walked in. Seeing all my Job’s Sisters all dressed up and excited to be there made me so happy. The Pageant was lovely. Misha (also a fellow Rainbow Girl of Springfield) and Camran had the theme of “Ohana” and all things Hawaii!!! Their speeches were beautiful and so was every girl on that stage. Afterwards, all the DeMolay, Jobies, and Rainbow Girls piled into the dance room and moved and grooved the night away. It was wonderful and it reminds me of the reason why I joined Rainbow in the first place: friends like family, amazing times, and lots of memories.

Grand Cross of Color Celebration & Pizza Party

Posted in Blog on November 30th, 2016 by Webmaster

On November 12th, we had pizza, chips and cake for lunch.  We were there to celebrate the people who have earned the Grand Cross of Color.  Mom Robyn spoke about how much of an honor it is to get the award and all the requirements in place before it can be earned.  She said that even if you are active and put in lots of service you may not get one.  You can get one as a Rainbow Girl or as an adult.  It is given by Supreme Assembly.
