Manassas Girls are Friendly, Positive, and Helpful!

Posted in Blog on August 8th, 2015 by Webmaster
On Sunday, July 26 Manassas Assembly had their Installation of Officers. Alanna went in as Worthy Advisor for the second time. Most girls were tired from a long night before at the DeMolay dance. We have gained a lot of new members lately. Our Assembly has 15 stations filled and we know we have 2 more pledges joining this term also. Many girls earned merit bars. Zoey and Gigi won Friendliest. Dalanie and Gigi were selected as Most Helpful. Gigi was chosen as Positive Attitude and I was voted to Best Ritual. Manassas Assembly is ready for another amazing term!

My First Grand Assembly

Posted in Blog on August 6th, 2015 by Webmaster
This was my first Grand Assembly, but it definitely won’t be my last. It took place July 17-18 at the Doubletree in Williamsburg. There were a lot of people there from all over Virginia, Rainbow Girls and supporting Masonic organizations. We even had some visitors from South Carolina. I also got to see my friend from Springfield Assembly, which doesn’t happen very often. The sessions were very long, but the ceremonies were beautiful, especially the Book of Memories. The Fun Activities listed on the schedule really were fun. The talent show was great, and I had a lot of fun performing Rock Lobster with my friends. The dance was really fun. I knew a most of the songs, and I requested some of my favorites. The Grand Banquet was one of my favorite events. Even though I couldn’t participate in Competitions this year, it was still fun to hear the winners and cheer for people I know. I had a really good time at this Grand Assembly, and I hope to be able to go to the next one.

Richmond Assembly #10’s Installation of Officers

Posted in Blog on August 3rd, 2015 by admin

IMG_7832Our Installation was a great and successful event!  This term the theme is “Moving Up In Rainbow.”  I look forward to this upcoming term where the girls of our Assembly will be given the chance to be Worthy Advisor for meetings in our Assembly by doing the Worthy Advisor’s ritual parts.  The banquet afterwards was nice with great food, and we sold nail wraps for our charity and GWA Rachel sold her awesome Rainbow items too.  I look forward to “Rocking My Ritual” this term, as our new motto says.

In Rainbow Love and Service,

Jessica

Richmond Travels!

I am so very proud each and every day to be the Mother Advisor of Richmond Assembly #10. This weekend these girls made me even more proud. Our young girls Sierra and Victoria spent the weekend representing Richmond around the state. The girls along with myself and Mom McDaniel went to the Installation of Officers of Smithfield Assembly #5 on Saturday afternoon. The beautiful installation was followed by a dinner and dance. From there the girls went and had a rainbow sleepover to celebrate Victoria’s 12th birthday. Sunday, the girls once again represented Richmond at the Installation of Officers of Hampton Assembly #2. The girls devised plans to raise money for charity projects by mascot-napping. It was all in good fun though, and no mascots or Worthy Advisors were harmed- but money was definitely raised! Richmond may be a young assembly but the Rainbow Spirit is huge in these girls.
