Congratulations to Gigi on a Wonderful Term

Posted in Blog on July 20th, 2015 by Webmaster

Wow! What a wonderful term we had. Our Worthy Advisor, Gigi has done a great job for being a younger Worthy Advisor. She is organized and always had things planned for us to do! We did fundraisers for OES, Amaranth, Royal Arch, and the Masons. We had a lot of fun times too! We hosted a carnival and attended holiday parties at our Lodge! Our Assembly helped at a nearby school for their spring fling. We ran games, helped out at the dunk tank, and helped clean up. Another big fundraiser we hosted was our 2nd Annual Frank Sinatra dinner. We dressed up as waitresses and served our guests dinner. We learned that being a waitress is hard work! Manassas attended the State events also. Helping at Camp Friendship was a lot of fun. We worked in groups to clean up all around the camp. We also had a group of girls attend the International Dinner. Many of us participated in the Ritual Competitions in Richmond. We had 3 new girls join our Assembly this past term. We hosted a joint Initiation with Fredericksburg Assembly. Manassas Assembly had an awesome term and we are looking forward to the next 6 months!

Founder’s Day Movie Night

Posted in Blog on July 9th, 2015 by admin

To celebrate Founder’s Day, we all went to see the movie, “Inside Out.” It was a cute movie and some tears were shed. It was really nice to have a chance to do something fun with my Rainbow sisters. Pledges were there too as well as a prospect, who is getting initiated at Grand Assembly! We all had a great time hanging out after the movie and eating leftover popcorn. I had a lot of fun with my Rainbow sisters.

Spaghetti Dinner Service

Posted in Blog on July 2nd, 2015 by admin

On Saturday June 27 the girls of Richmond Rainbow helped serve at the Scottish Rite Temple. It was the annual spaghetti dinner for the Childhood Language Center and the proceeds went to that cause. Our girls were in charge of refilling condiments however they helped where ever needed and cleaned tables, refilled drinks, and lots more. They did a wonderful job of serving almost 500 people.
