Phoebus Illumination
Posted in Blog on December 8th, 2013 by WebmasterPhoebus came together and had a Holiday Illumination that Hampton Assembly went to and helped serve hot chocolate and hot apple cider. Up and down the streets, buildings were lit up and The Pointe restaurant even had fake snow, the Sarah’s Pub had Irish dancers, and at 8:30, everyone stood around the Christmas tree to watch the lighting of it. It was the first annual Phoebus Illumination and I can’t wait to go again next year for even more lights and fun.
Fredericksburg Masters of the Grand Cross Break Bread
Posted in Blog on December 7th, 2013 by Webmaster
On November 16, we went to Panera and all ordered the same thing. We used our bread loaves and literally broke it as we celebrated the Grand Cross. We didn’t talk about Rainbow very much. We talked about school, color guard, band, instruments…basically everything outside of our Rainbow lives.
We had fun! It was cold outside. We had plans to go to the mall afterwards, but got lost and separated from each other. 🙁 We’ll have to do that another time.
We had a good time reconnecting, just the four of us! And we’d love to do it again sometime…hopefully before the next Grand Cross Observance!

Bowling…Fun for All!
Posted in Blog on December 6th, 2013 by WebmasterOn Saturday, November 30th, Manassas Assembly went bowling! This was my first activity as a Rainbow Girl. Sydney, Gigi, Sami, and I, along with several advisors, parents and siblings attended this activity. Thank goodness we had the bumper guards up or else our scores would have been a lot lower! We were a little worried when our pledge member, Sami, got a strike in the first frame of the first game. Just about everybody’s scores improved during the second game…..except Mom Nancy’s. A highlight was that all the girls’ scores were just about equal to or higher than our Mother Advisors! And Gigi had the Most Improved Score. Some bowled better than others…..but we all had a fun time!
