Hampton Delivers for the Holidays

Posted in Blog on December 22nd, 2015 by Webmaster

On the December 12th we went to the Hiddenwood Retirement Home to visit residents there that are Easter Star members. We delivered their dues cards, a holiday card, and a plant in a mug. There are three currently living in the home. They were all surprised to see us and find that we are were Rainbow Girls. They were warm and welcoming to us. Overall it was a very warm experience full of christmas spirit.

On November 8th we went to the Norfolk Temple for a work meeting with the Norfolk Chapter DeMolay boys. We planned our upcoming holiday dance, which will be a combined effort between Norfolk Assembly and Norfolk DeMolay. After the meeting, we helped the boys with their service project, Adopt-a-Street, where we cleaned the streets around the Temple all the way to the hospital. It was a fun work meeting and service project day with our DeMolay brothers!

Bowling for Scholarship

Posted in Blog on December 1st, 2015 by Casey Humphries

The Scholarship Bowl-a-thon was so much fun to go to! Many of the Virginia Rainbow Girls were there, and they all did great on bowling. Richmond Assembly #10 played four rounds and we had been texting the group next to us and the bowling alley was just amazing. The food was delicious and the service was just so great. Richmond Assembly #10 didn’t win a trophy but we’re glad that other people did, and my group can’t wait to see everyone again. So Richmond Assembly #10 was very happy to be there and can’t wait to see everyone again at the next function.

The Haunted Temple

Posted in Blog on November 10th, 2015 by Webmaster

On October 23rd, I went with some of the girls from Norfolk Assembly to the Haunted Temple hosted by the Norfolk Masonic Temple. It was definitely a scary haunted house with clowns, vampires, zombies, and many more frightening things! There was a huge crowd and I saw a lot of friends. It was a night to remember!
