On September 17, 2017, we met at the corner of Godwin and Ashton Ave at the 7-Eleven to clean up the street.  Zoey W. organized the event with Dad Costis and he was able to direct us in how to pick up the trash. He was able to provide us with vests, grabber tools, gloves, and trash bags so we could clean up the street.  Our group was limited in size so this time the girls that helped were:  Gigi, Kate, Zoey, Vanessa, M’Balu, Batu, Jazmyn, and me.  Parents there included:  Dad Tom, Dad Bill, Mom Debra, Mom Paula, Mom Joanne, and Mom Louisa.  We found some interesting things on the side of the street and someone even found a credit card!  We finished in less than an hour and then went back to the Lodge to get something to drink before going home.

Manassas Attended PWC DeMolay Installation

Posted in Blog on October 31st, 2017 by Webmaster

September 16, 2017 – DeMolay Installation – I arrived a little after 2pm for the Installation.  It was neat to watch and exciting since it was the first DeMolay Installation for the Prince William Chapter since it was re-opened.  The new Master Counselor, Charles Hite, welcomed everyone and made our own Vanessa the Sweetheart for the Chapter this term.  Awards were given out to the DeMolay members and after the ceremony we took pictures and we retired to the Dining Hall for refreshments.  Many Rainbow Girls were there from the Manassas Assembly: Gigi, Katie, Kate, Zoey W., Vanessa, Joella, Sami, M’Balu, Batu, and me.  We even had a Manassas Pledge, Ella, in the audience.  It was a fun afternoon.  After everything was over, many of us headed over to the Henry Lodge in Fairfax for the Grand Visitation practice.

Posted in Blog on October 30th, 2017 by Webmaster

On September 14, 2017, we held the Royal Arch dinner.  Mom Louisa made the dinner and the girls who worked it were:  Alyssa, Akshita, and me.  We had lasagna, salad, rolls, birthday cake, and apple pie.  The Royal Arch members celebrated Dad Clancy’s birthday and their Installation that evening.  Each girl working the dinner made $20 for their Assembly banks.

On September 9, 2017, we met at Parking Lot E at Prince William Forest Park to hike the Quantico Cascades Trail and have lunch together.  We invited pledges, prospects and four DeMolay chapters to join us.  The girls who were there included:  Gigi, Kate, Delanie, Zoey, Vanessa, Jo, Mackenzie, Ashley, M’Balu, Alyssa, and me.  The adults who were there were:  Mom Priscilla, Dad Tom, Mom Paula, Dad Wyatt, Mom Joanne, Dad Stan, Dad Ryan, Mom Jean, Mom Nancy K, and Mom Louisa.  The DeMolay that were there:  Preston and Connor.  Kate brought an out-of-town friend from Florida who was getting away from Hurricane Irma and her name is Genevieve and her mom was there too.  Zoey’s little brother, Sam, Alyssa’s little brother, Zach, and Ashley’s little sister, Jessica, were also there.  The event was scheduled to start at noon but we didn’t get started until almost 1pm since part of the group was running behind.  We hiked down to the creek and we were playing in the water.  Most of us did well, but Mackenzie fell in and got wet.  We took lots of pictures and had fun.  We arrived back from our hike at about 2pm and then we ate lunch.  We finished up about 3pm and headed home.
