Manassas Installation:

On July 22 we had our Manassas installation for Kate’s term! We had carrying pieces that were Playbills with our faces on the front. Vanessa was the Installing Officer, Gigi was the Installing Recorder, Selena was the Installing Marshal, and Allison was the Installing Musician. The theme this term is musicals. The mascot is a polar bear. After the installation we had some delicious food and we cleaned up. Some of us had to run to make it to Springfield’s Installation.  It was an amazing installation and I wish Kate the best term ever!!

Hampton installation

Lauren was installed as Worthy Advisor and her theme was unicorns and other magical things. Her mascots are Um the purple unicorn (nicknamed Georgette), Uh the rino, and Helen the pink unicorn.

Her gavel has a fluffy unicorn with butterflies on it (Lauren is scared of butterflies). Dad Joe became Assembly Dad and received a beautiful rainbow hat as a gift. The room was decorated in clouds and stars and there was plush clouds with faces scattered around the assembly room. The girls from Manassas that attended are Dalanie, Vanessa, Gigi, and I.

The installation was great and everyone had a great time.

Royal Arch Dinner July 12, 2018

We arrived a little after 5:30 pm on July 12 for the Royal Arch Dinner.  We had chicken chili, rice, corn bread, and salad for dinner and various desserts.  Mom Louisa cooked and the following girls helped:  Akshita, Cassidy, Ella and me.  Akshita made a really good Indian ice cream dessert.  It was a fun dinner and we had a good time.  I was happy that we were done at the lodge at 8pm because I had to go home and get ready for Ohio’s Grand Assembly the next day.

Ohio Grand Assembly

Ohio Grand Assembly Sunday July 15, 2018

Part 3

Again Sunday morning was an early morning.  We had to pack all of our bags before heading to breakfast in the dining hall which was from 7 – 8 am.  We noticed people loading up cars and couldn’t find the shuttle.  Eventually we were told that it didn’t run on Sunday so we had to walk over to the dining hall for breakfast.  Once we filled up on food we walked to the car so we could ride over to the dorms and pack the car.  After getting all loaded up we went to the athletic center to drop off our dorm keys and dining hall passes as well as pick up Zoey’s award certificate for the balloon toss so we could head home.  It was already hot and I was still tired so I stayed in the car.

I wish we could have stayed for the Sunday church service, but with a 7 hour drive we needed to get going so I could get my math homework done and unpack for my busy week to come.  I made so many new Rainbow friends and I will be going back to see more Ohio Rainbow in the years to come since my grandparents are moving back to Ohio later this year and they are moving very close to an assembly.  Everyone there was friendly and welcoming.  I couldn’t believe you could pack so many activities into four short days the way they do.  It was amazing and so much fun!

I am happy to say that we didn’t get lost in a corn field on the way home and the trip was uneventful since Zoey and I slept in the back seat for a good portion of the trip.  I can’t wait for my next adventure at Supreme 2018 in Hampton, VA where I will meet up with some of the girls that I met in Ohio this past weekend!
