Smithfield Installation

Posted in Blog on March 8th, 2018 by Webmaster

On February 3rd, 2018 Smithfield Assembly held their Installation of Officers. Jordyn was installed as Worthy Advisor. I had the honor of being their Installing Marshall, Vanessa from my Assembly was Installing Chaplain. The members of Manassas Assembly present were: Katie, Sami, Vanessa, and myself. In the Worthy Advisor’s speech Jordyn said she loved Rainbow for many reasons, one of which was the fact that her Rainbow Sisters loved her without trying to change her. Her friends knew who she was and that she was shy, and they loved her anyway, telling her she didn’t have to pretend to be an extrovert to be happy. Her theme centered around wildflowers.

After the Installation, I shared a quote with Jordyn that I felt matched her theme and her speech, “A sunflower does not have to change into a rose in order to be beautiful”. Everyone is different, but our differences are what make us beautiful.

The Installation was beautiful, the members of Smithfield Assembly are always so kind, I hope that they have an amazing term!

Thrift Store Shopping

Posted in Blog on March 7th, 2018 by Webmaster

On January 28 Joella, Mackenzie, M’balu, Batu, Sami, Katie, Vanessa, Jazmyn and I, along with Moms Robin, Paula, and Angie went to Hampton’s installation. We had stayed the night previous at a hotel, with everyone split between three rooms.

Before the Installation, we went to a thrift store. Some girls got dresses, others got more casual wear. I got a toy, that Mom Paula bought for me.

Britney went in again with everything the same as her last term except her charity is now Supreme 2018.

I had a fun time at Hampton’s installation, and I’m sure the other girls did as well. I cannot wait to see the girls at Hampton again.

Snowcoming Dance

Posted in Blog on March 6th, 2018 by Webmaster

January 27, 2018

I arrived around 8pm on January 27th for the Snowcoming Dance held at the St. Tammany Lodge in Hampton, VA.  There were so many people there!  It was fun and there were several baskets that you could buy raffle tickets for to win.  The one I really wanted to win was the T-shirt that said, “I’m Mom J’s favorite” but Ella Pendleton won that one.  We danced and had lots of fun and the food that they had at concessions was good too.   Some moms even started to dance but that embarrassed Kate so she was seen hiding behind a tree. We danced until almost 10:30 pm when the lights came up and they were taking down the decorations.  Several Rainbow Girls were there from the Manassas Assembly #13: Katie, Kate, Delanie, Zoey, Vanessa, Mackenzie, M’Balu, Batu, Joella, Jazmyn, Sami, Gigi, and me along with our pledge Ella.  Many of our adults were there too and included:  Dad Clancy, Mom Priscilla, Mom Paula, Mom Ange, and Mom Robin, Mom Joanne, and Mom Louisa.

Laser Tag with Ohio Guests

Posted in Blog on March 4th, 2018 by admin

After our beautiful Richmond and Fredericksburg Grand Visitation, we went out for further celebration at Skate Nation to go play Laser Tag. Attending this event were Richmond Girls, our out of state guests from Ohio (which was the Grand Worthy Advisor Katie and some of her Grand Officers), and our Grand Worthy Advisor Libbie. It was lots of fun and a good way to know our out of state guests.
