Norfolk Connect with a WishOn August 16, Relena, Pia, Phoenix, Alyssa, Sarah, Joie, Mom Christi, Mom Sarah, Mom Paula, Mom Judy, and I went to Connect with a Wish to help out with the packing school supplies for foster children. We put the school supplies into backpacks to be delivered to the foster children. Norfolk Assembly had an amazing time working together to help all of these children.

Norfolk Initiation

Posted in Blog on August 22nd, 2016 by Webmaster

On Ausgust 14, 2016, Norfolk Assembly #15 initiated Abigail. Everyone did an amazing job with memorizing their parts. We received two petitions for Initiation. Olivia stood in as Faith and Rachel stood in as Service. Some of the adults were kind enough to stand in for some of the Bow Stations. Dad Jeff did the Lambskin Apron Lecture. Our State Rainbow Dad came out to support us.

Afterwards, we did a “Five Favorite Things Giveaway” where everyone brought 5 of the same object and everyone drew a number from a bowl. The number that we picked would indicate the order we went in. The whole plan was for us to experiment with everyone else’s favorite things so we could try new things.

I look forward to having Abigail in our Assembly.

Norfolk Performed the Bow Ceremony

Posted in Blog on August 21st, 2016 by Webmaster

Norfolk Bow CeremonyOn August 11, 2016, the Lake Drummond Lodge invited the Rainbow Girls from Norfolk Assembly to perform the Bow Ceremony for the Youth Night. Everyone did a phenomenal job, especially our pledges, while presenting their parts. During the program, a 60 year Mason pin was presented. It was such an honor to witness the pinning of a Mason who have served for 60 years (and counting)! And, let’s not forget the delicious spaghetti served for dinner before the ceremony!

Hampton’s Installation of Officers

Posted in Blog on August 20th, 2016 by Webmaster

On August 7th, Hampton Assembly had their Installation of Officers. Kensley went in as Worthy Advisor and you could tell by the look on her face that she was ecstatic! Her theme was “A Winter Wonderland” and her mascot was snowmen. There was a big turnout from her family and the ceremony went beautifully. I was honored to be apart of her Ribbon Ceremony and I had the privilege of presenting her with her mascot by having one of our dads (Dad Mike) dress as a snowman and dance around. Everyone had a good laugh including Kensley! The Installation was a success and afterward we all went downstairs and had some good homemade food made by Kensley’s grandma. She had to sing “In Summer” to get her mascot back from Smithfield and after the day was over we were all very tired and a new Worthy Advisor was crowned! I am so excited to be in line behind her and I cannot wait to see all she does for this Assembly!!!
