Rainbow in the Midst of Storms and Murder

Posted in Blog on October 14th, 2013 by Webmaster

Even though the rain hadn’t been too nice to us with Masonic Family Day our Rainbow still shown through; that night Rainbow hosted a murder mystery dinner. There was jousting, fair ladies, glorious kings, huge turkey legs, and……. murder. Everyone had a part to play in figuring out who was the murderer and possibly being the murderer themselves. It was a night of mystery, suspicions, and just good fun. It started with all the characters getting to know each other and then tragedy struck the manor when one of the guests was killed. The rest of the night everyone was asking questions trying to figure out who the murderer was. Not only was it fun to get into character and try and solve the mystery but it was awesome spending time with our Masonic family. We had a great turn out from not only the Rainbow Girls, but the DeMolay and Job’s Daughters as well. It was great to see the youth groups coming together for some food and fun.

Fredericksburg and Richmond Weekend Trip

Posted in Blog on September 15th, 2013 by Webmaster

This past weekend Richmond and Fredericksburg got together and had a sleepover at the Cochrane’s house watching movies, eating pizza, and drinking sodas. Lights out was at 11 pm so we could wake up early at 6:30 am to serve and eat breakfast at the Fredericksburg Lodge. After breakfast, we practiced our skit and Ritual work for the Grand Visitation on the 21st of September. After practice, we went out downtown and explored the shops and got lunch at a local shop called Goolrich’s. After some more shopping we got ice cream then said our goodbyes, till next time. It was a blast!

Weekend with Eastern Star

Posted in Blog on August 22nd, 2013 by Webmaster

This past weekend was very busy for Richmond Rainbow. We had dinner with Abe where we served the Grand Chapter of Eastern Star. Where we got to know a little bit more about Abraham Lincoln. Then the next day we had an early morning serving breakfast to Star. Where our very own Becca won a pig and Erin won a jewelry box during the auction. Later on that day we all got back together to pass out programs and help with the reception at the Grand Adah’s home chapter. During the initiation we all played cards together and even got to go eat some delicious Chick-fil-a. I loved being able to see the same women and men every day because of the friendships I was able to make. It was a very fun weekend spent with our sponsoring order.
