Murder Mystery Dinner- 3/5/22

Posted in Blog on April 17th, 2022 by Christi Reed

Following the Grand Visitation, the state Murder Mystery Dinner was held on March 5th, 2022 at the Kena Shrine in Manassas. The theme this time was “Once Upon a Murder” featuring a ball held by Prince Charming after Cinderella’s disappearance. I was cast as the step-sister, Griselda, who I had fun portraying, and we spent the night eating dinner and mixing around socially. In a shocking and completely unpredictable turn of events, Snow White, portrayed by our GWA Kaitlyn was ‘killed!’ Oh no! The rest of the evening was spent trying to solve the mystery, with only one person being able to correctly identify the culprit. My friends and I came close to solving the mystery, but we were slightly off. Eliza and I were, however, able to pool enough fake money together to win a prize, which was our true mission from the beginning. Afterwards, I stayed after to help clean up the room and pack all of the many decorations away. Special thanks to Mom Joanne for always putting together such amazing murder mystery parties for us! Events like this would not be possible without her time and attention to detail. I love events like this, and I hope we can have more of them in the future. Plus, the Cinderella theme is making me excited for Grand Assembly!
