Driving to Richmond Assembly

Posted in Blog on August 18th, 2021 by Christi Reed

On July 24, we drove up to Richmond Assembly for their installation. On the car ride up to Richmond, we listened to 80s music, which my mom sang out loud, and talked about upcoming events. We talked about all the fun events that we will be able to attend this year. We have all greatly missed seeing our sisters in person! We had Wawa for breakfast and got Chickfilà for a later breakfast. It was a really fun car ride! What a Fun Ride! Having fun makes the rides go that much faster!

Manassas’s Installation

Posted in Blog on August 17th, 2021 by Christi Reed

On July 18, I attended Manassas’s Installation. Eliza went in as Worthy Advisor and her theme was made around the show, Survivor. Her installation was very nice and she had tiki torches as carrying pieces. That was interesting, different, and cool. Her music was also very interesting and it made me smile when I heard it. I had an awesome time going to Manassas for this event! It will be exciting to see how Eliza and Manassas Assembly use their motto, “Fire represents your life,” throughout the term.

Quantico-Freedom’s Installation

Posted in Blog on August 16th, 2021 by Christi Reed

On July 17, I attended Quantico-Freedom’s installation. I went with Grand Worthy Advisor, Kaitlyn. Akshita went in as Worthy Advisor and had an Avatar theme. Kaitlyn was extremely excited about Akshita’s mascot of the Flying Sky Bison. I was happy about the peacock since we have some that live in our neighborhood! I can not wait to help Quantico-Freedom “Shape Our Future With Virginia Rainbow.” What a perfect motto for the time we are currently living with COVID 19. The food after the installation was very delicious and I had an awesome time!

Years…and years of friendship!

Posted in Blog on August 15th, 2021 by Christi Reed

Do you know what it looks like when your mom is still best friends with her Grand Worthy Advisor? (Yes, from a long time ago!) On July 16, we drove up to Ashburn just to be able to hang out before a busy Rainbow weekend. I went to dinner with Kaitlyn, Ryan, and Ella and our parents. We went to Chuy’s (we don’t have those where we live) and Ryan had a burrito called “Big as Yo Face.” The name of the burrito had me cracking up…but Kaitlyn couldn’t even say the name of her order without laughing about it. She ordered a Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom enchilada. We were all laughing about her order. Fun fact: Dad P’s favorite restaurant is Chuy’s. The meal and fun was certainly memorable and I got a t-shirt for the memories! Ryan is also one of the funniest guys I know! I am so glad the friendship has lasted for so long and that we are able to find time to hang out.
