South Norfolk “Bring A Friend” Night

Posted in Blog on August 17th, 2015 by Webmaster

On July 7th, Hampton Assembly #2 held “Bring a Friend” Night for our soon to be opened South Norfolk Assembly. The Masons invited the DeMolay, Job’s Daughters, and Rainbow Girls to have dinner and present a short program explaining what each of these organizations is about. Hampton Assembly did the Bow program sharing what each ray of light in the Rainbow means. We watched the DeMolay do the shield talk and Ceremony of Lights. The Job’s Daughters did a program about what their flag means.

2015 DeMolay Conclave

Posted in Blog on August 3rd, 2015 by Webmaster

The DeMolay Conclave was a lot of fun!  The Conclave was held on July 25th, 2015 at Christopher Newport University.  There were 6 girls from Manassas that attended, Gigi, Delanie, Katie, Kate, Selena and me.  On the way down, we stopped at Starbucks.  All were happy about the stop, but Katie was the most excited.  Her drink was as big as she was.  We got there before the dance started, so Grand Worthy Advisor, Rachel Cochrane, gave us a little tour of the campus.

Conclave

After the tour it was time for the dance.  We had a lot of fun and met a lot of other Masonic youth.  I can’t wait until next year’s Conclave.

Fun at the Ball for One and All

Posted in Blog on December 15th, 2014 by Webmaster

The MCHQWA Ball is always a fun experience, showing girls that Rainbow is not always Ritual and floorwork. Girls come from all over the State to have fun with not only their Rainbow Sisters but also their DeMolay Brothers and Job’s Daughters Sisters. On September 27th all the organizations came together to have fun, sing, dance and eat snacks at the Kena Shrine Temple. It was a great day and a fun experience!

Valentine’s with Rockingham Union Lodge

Posted in Blog on February 9th, 2014 by Webmaster

DSC_1952aOn the evening of February 8th, Erin and I got the privilege of attending the Valentine’s Dinner of Rockingham Union Lodge in Harrisonburg, VA. It was our first time meeting the Masons in this Lodge. We arrived and got a tour of the Lodge which was built in the 1700s. The Lodge is full of history of America and they are currently doing renovations to get stained glass windows which look spectacular. After our tour, we got to meet all of the Master Masons and their wives. We enjoyed our dinner talking with them about school, goats, and firefighting. The dinner was delicious and it was cool to see how excited they were to meet some Rainbow Girls. In the picture is the Worshipful Master Russell Pence.
