2016 Job’s Daughters Pageant

rachal-at-jobs-daughters-pageantjobs-daughters-pageantHampton Assembly went to the Job’s Daughters Pageant to support our Sisters. We were so proud to see Camran up there as the outgoing Miss Congeniality and Scarlet and Leanne as two of the Pageant contestants. It was hosted at the Doubletree where we have our Grand Assembly, so I felt very at home as soon as I walked in. Seeing all my Job’s Sisters all dressed up and excited to be there made me so happy. The Pageant was lovely. Misha (also a fellow Rainbow Girl of Springfield) and Camran had the theme of “Ohana” and all things Hawaii!!! Their speeches were beautiful and so was every girl on that stage. Afterwards, all the DeMolay, Jobies, and Rainbow Girls piled into the dance room and moved and grooved the night away. It was wonderful and it reminds me of the reason why I joined Rainbow in the first place: friends like family, amazing times, and lots of memories.

Portsmouth DeMolay Installation

Posted in Blog on August 26th, 2016 by Webmaster

Recently we had the pleasure of attending Portsmouth DeMolay Chapter’s Installation of Officers. The event started at 7:00 P.M. and ended at 9:15 P.M. Chris was installed as Mastor Councilor for a second term! The Installation was well performed and all around amazing. Job’s Daughters, DeMolay, and Rainbow alike made an appearance, showing their support. The reception was wonderful and the food was outstanding.

I really look forward to seeing what this Chapter is going to do in this term of office.

Monitor Lodge Celebrates 150 Years

Posted in Blog on April 8th, 2016 by Webmaster

Monitor Lodge 150th AnniversaryOn March 26, 2016, Monitor Lodge had its 150th anniversary. In keeping with our Grand Worthy Advisor’s theme this year, I felt this was a very important article to share. The banquet was held at the Mariner’s Museum in none other than the section dedicated to the very ironclad the Lodge was named after. We got a chance before and after to walk through that section of the museum and learn some of its history.

When the banquet began, our State Rainbow Dad and the Worshipful Master of Monitor Lodge, Mr. Joseph Grist, told us some of the history of the Lodge. I very much enjoyed hearing this and learning something new that had seemingly nothing to do with Hampton Assembly but is just as much our history as it is theirs.

There were many presentations along with three community builder awards given out. Alexis and I sat with Job’s Daughters Miss Congeniality, Camran, and the Grand Master of Virginia and his wife, Mr and Mrs James Edward Litten. It was such an honor. They were very sweet and welcoming people. Though nervous at first, Alexis and I became very comfortable by the end of dinner.

There were many familiar along with so many unfamiliar faces. It was an honor to spend such an amazing occasion with such amazing people. We were so glad we got to support a group of Masons who have supported us so much throughout the years.

Portsmouth DeMolay Installation

Posted in Blog on April 2nd, 2016 by Webmaster

Norfolk Assembly LT and Hampton Assembly No 2 went to Portsmouth DeMolay’s Installation on February 20th.  Christopher was installed as the Master Councilor. Phoenix from Rainbow Norfolk Assembly was elected as Chapter Sweetheart. The program was very nice and the introductions and presentations were great. It was great to see so many visitors there to celebrate and support the group.

Following the program there was a nice reception in the main hall with lots of great food and desserts.  The Rainbow Girls, DeMolay, and Job’s Daughters were able to just hang out and share lots of laughs along with wonderful music. It was an amazing event.
