June 16, 2018 Lodge Clean-up

On June 16, I chaired the Lodge Clean-up event which was a way for us to thank the Masons for allowing us to hold our meetings and events at the lodge and for everything else they do for our assembly.  We met at the lodge at 11am and broke up into two groups.  One group with six girls headed outside to clean our Adopt-a-spot stretch of road and the rest of us stayed behind to get working on cleaning the lodge kitchen.  The girls working in the kitchen the entire time were:  Katie, Joella, Abigail and me.  The girls that came to help in the kitchen after doing the Adopt-a-spot were:  Zoey, Sami, M’Balu, Batu, Jazmyn, and Aaliyah with Mom Deborah.  Mom Jean noticed that the cabinet paper needed to be replaced so she and Mom Louisa went out and bought new foam liners and we cleaned and re-organized all of the shelves and drawers in the kitchen.  Mom Robin cleaned out the refrigerator and Dad Henry cleaned the stove.  Dad Clancy was cleaning out the storage cabinets in the back room and helped where ever he was needed.  After most of the work was done Dad Clancy ordered pizza for the girls who worked the event so we could have lunch.  Once we were done eating we did some more clean-up and then headed home at about 2pm.

Manassas Assembly Charity

Posted in Blog on July 8th, 2018 by Webmaster

Manassas Assembly has supported Supreme 2018 for the past two terms. We have raised money to go towards this huge event for all that Rainbow has done for us in our lives. Now it’s our turn to give back! Our Assembly has held fundraisers, dinners, and coin collections to go to our charity. We hope our profits will help cover some of the cost!

Royal Arch Dinner

Posted in Blog on June 8th, 2018 by Webmaster

The Royal Arch dinner for their stated meeting and guest speaker on May 10th was a blast! I loved the food prepared by Gigi’s family, especially the steak, yum! I also loved serving with my fellow Rainbow Girls, who were all very kind and helpful. There were over 60 people present! After we served to all the Royal Arch Masons, we ate dinner and the delectable deserts. Once everyone was fed and the Masons left to attend a presentation from a guest speaker from Illinois, we cleaned up. I got to mop, which was fun. I would love to give thanks to everyone that supported this dinner and making the event a success!

Manassas Lodge Diner

Posted in Blog on June 7th, 2018 by Webmaster

On Friday, May 4th, Katie, Sami, Batu, Zoey and I worked at a Lodge dinner at Manassas Lodge.  When Zoey, Batu and I got there, we learned Mom Robin was cooking ham and cheesy potatoes! We helped put out all of the yummy desserts and after we served, we had a lot of leftover food!  We had dessert and then began to clean up.  We requested a $7.00 donation and I believe we all made money for our banks. Over all, the dinner was a huge success and extremely yummy!
