Manassas Assembly #13 Hosts a Dinner Dance

Posted in Blog on June 13th, 2014 by Webmaster

Manassas Assembly No.13 held a Frank Sinatra dinner dance.  There was music and the Lodge was decorated beautifully by Dad Costis and Dad Chris.  Mom Costis, Mom Leann, and Mom Robin all helped cook and set tables. All of the girls served as waitresses and did an amazing job according to everyone who attended!   We are so proud of our girls and our Board Members. Manassas Assembly is very happy with our dinner dance and are very excited about having another in May of 2015!

Bowling…Fun for All!

Posted in Blog on December 6th, 2013 by Webmaster

On Saturday, November 30th, Manassas Assembly went bowling! This was my first activity as a Rainbow Girl. Sydney, Gigi, Sami, and I, along with several advisors, parents and siblings attended this activity. Thank goodness we had the bumper guards up or else our scores would have been a lot lower! We were a little worried when our pledge member, Sami, got a strike in the first frame of the first game. Just about everybody’s scores improved during the second game…..except Mom Nancy’s. A highlight was that all the girls’ scores were just about equal to or higher than our Mother Advisors! And Gigi had the Most Improved Score. Some bowled better than others…..but we all had a fun time!

Born to be a Rainbow Girl

Posted in Blog on December 6th, 2013 by Webmaster
Hi, my name is Katie, and I am now a member of Manassas Assembly #13. I joined on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. For the last 2 years I was a member of the Pledge Group. I was born to be a Rainbow Girl and have waited a lifetime (all 11 years!). My Nana was in Rainbow in Pennsylvania and my Mom and 2 aunts were in Fairfax Assembly. Just about everybody in Virginia knows my Aunt Nancy. She is the current Mother Advisor of our Assembly – and yes, she cried as she recited the MA lecture during my initiation! I am very excited about being a Rainbow Girl and look forward to the wonderful memories I will make!

Fun at the MCHQWA Ball

MCHQWA Ball

After the Grand Visitation, we went to the Ball.  The Ball was really fun.  We had snacks and drinks.  They were good.  We danced to some funky music.  We all were in our formals.  Sydney was escorted by Selena.  After everybody was escorted that needed to be, we went to Denny’s and got milkshakes.  Then we went to Sydney’s house for a sleepover.  We had an amazing weekend and I think we’ll do it again.
