Gifts, Giggles, and Games Galore!

Visiting a Sister Assembly is always great. You get to meet new Girls and see old friends. As a member of Manassas Assembly, an Assembly still in its infancy, it is always interesting to see how other Assemblies
conduct their meetings. On December 18th, Fairfax Assembly had a Christmas party with a gift exchange. At the Christmas Party, Fairfax Assembly generously provided pizza, cookies, candy, and soda which we eagerly consumed before moving on the gift exchange. The gift exchange was very pleasant until one very lucky girl opened a Visa gift card and then the gloves came off! Girls who had not yet received a present were flocking to Erica, the Worthy Associate Advisor, to steal her precious gift. She would not budge…until she found a better offer! After the gift exchange, all the Girls talked, laughed, and played cards. At the end of it all, it was not the pizza or the gifts that made the party fun; it was the Girls and being able to spend time with my Rainbow Sisters that I will always remember.

Christmas at Manasseh

Posted in Blog on December 19th, 2014 by Webmaster

On December 7 was the Lodge Christmas party at the Manassas Lodge.  It was lots of fun.  There were several Rainbow Girls there along with a few DeMolay Brothers.  We played several games, such as Musical Chairs and Find the Gingerbread Men.  Dad Bill read “The Night Before Christmas” and Santa even visited bringing gifts!  The food was good; from meat balls to cakes and cookies.  Ginny the Gingerbread Man showed up too.  I even made a new friend, she is the daughter of a Mason and is now thinking about joining Rainbow because of the great time we had together.

Merry Christmas!

Wrapping with Rainbow

Posted in Blog on December 17th, 2014 by Webmaster

On November 28th and 29th, Manassas Assembly #13 had a fundraiser where the Rainbow Girls wrapped Christmas presents, listened to Christmas music, and ate donuts. On the first day we only wrapped one present which was a little disappointing, however we were able to help Mom Tammy put up the Lodge Christmas decorations. We helped decorate the new Hello Kitty tree, which I think is adorable. Thanks to Mom Tammy for letting us help.

On the second day, our Girls wrapped many presents with the help of the Yorkshire School of Instruction. Thank you! We also had wonderful support from our Amaranth members who were there selling ornaments and encouraged purchasers to have them wrapped by Rainbow. Thank you Amaranth! In our down time, we experimented with different bows and styles to wrap the big presents. I’m not sure how successful the fundraiser was, but I had a great time spending time with my Rainbow Sisters. Overall it was a very good experience.
