On Friday, August 5, Katie, Sammie, M’Balu, Batu, Gigi, Dalanie and myself served dinner to the Masons at their Stated meeting. It was their Scholarship Night and there was more than the Masons there. Mom Tammy made some very yummy jambalaya and Mom Cherry made some very tasty cornbread to go along with it. We each brought a dessert. Afterwards we all cleaned up. We had such a fun time, not only seeing and speaking with the Masons but also laughing with each other.

On Saturday, June 11th, Manassas Assembly had a called Initiation. We had two new girls join. Thank you to our Majority Member adults who helped us and did a part for us. After, we had a potluck lunch. Later that day we had a sleepover at Sydney’s house. The girls that were there were, Isabella, Zoey, JoElla, Sami, Jazmyn, Arrabella, Delaney, Gigi, and Sydney. We had a lot of fun and we had a great time bonding and learning more about our new Sisters!

On Thursday, May 5th, Manassas Assembly went to Dominion Valley Country Club to help make care packages for Alex’s Army, our Worthy Advisors’ charity project. Girls arrived at 5 o’clock and started making “sock-puppet kits” as well as to sort out crafting supplies. We were very happy to see that Alex himself was there to help and encourage everyone, bringing a smile to the faces of all those who attended. Alex’s Army is an amazing organization that helps families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer. I am so glad that our Assembly got to help with one of their projects.

On April 10th Manassas Assembly visited Grace United Methodist Church for Rainbow Sunday. Reverend Tucker led us in prayer and shared the story of Christ. The girls attending were: Dalanie, Sammy, Katie, M’Balu, Zoey, Gigi, Sydney, and Vanessa. During the service all of the Girls sat together and listened as the Reverend spoke. After the service, all the girls went to Olive Garden and ate lunch. We all sat together and fought over who got the last breadstick (we ended up splitting it 8 ways). All in all, it was a great Rainbow Sunday.
