Flamingo Flocking

Posted in Blog on September 12th, 2019 by Christi Reed

On August 10, I was happy to join Manassas Assembly and their flamingo flocking fundraiser group for Allison’s charity project. Along with Allison, Katie, Sami, Vanessa, and Eliza, we went all around Manassas putting pink flamingos in different yards. Our first stop was our very own Mom Jenkins! During the flocking process, there was a Grand Executive Board Meeting taking place and we had to make sure that she didn’t see us! We were all scrambling around trying not to get Ike’s attention too! The next place we had to stop by was Cheryl’s house. When we finished flocking and taking our pictures with them, we got caught! So we all ran to our cars and tried to drive away as fast as we could while we were still laughing! The last house we stopped by was Mom Erin’s house. We had to make sure we were very quiet because there were people inside. After placing all the flamingos we all headed to eat lunch at either Moe’s or Five Guys. Overall it was such a fun day full of laughter and a lot of flamingo flocking but I am so happy that I was able to help take part in raising money for Allison’s charity!

Scrapbooking Fun – 8/17/2019

Posted in Blog on September 7th, 2019 by Christi Reed

On August 17th Manassas had a scrapbooking event after the ice cream social.  It was very productive!  Gigi made great pages for this past Grand Assembly.  We just need to get more pictures so we can do more.

Masquerade Ball at Quantico – 8-17-2019

Posted in Blog on September 6th, 2019 by Christi Reed

After a full day of events with Manassas Assembly, I headed down to Quantico for Quantico-Freedom Assembly’s Masquerade Ball.  They had lots of masks that you could choose from for a donation, but I brought my own.  There was plenty of food.  I saw girls from several other assemblies including Ashburn, Springfield, Manassas, and Fredericksburg.  I stayed until the end and helped to clean up.  I ended up staying a little later than expected because Abby accidentally locked the keys in Mom Jean’s car while it was on and we didn’t leave until we knew everyone was safe to go home.

Mama Mia

Mama Mia

On August 18th Manassas Assembly went to see Mama Mia at Toby’s Dinner Theatre. Girls present were: Allison, Alyssa, Sami, Eliza, Samantha M, Dalanie, Gigi, Katie, Vanessa, Emily, Eileena, Maribel, and three prospects.
The show was truly fabulous, the lights, the songs, the choreography, all of it was amazing. We had many girls singing along from the sidelines throughout the show.
Even though the theatre was in Maryland, we had a good turnout of girls and adults. We sang, we ate good food, and we bonded as sisters. I cannot wait for Manassas’s next fun event!
