Initiation at Quantico-Freedom

On December 1st, Jazmin was initiated into Quantico-Freedom Assembly!
Several girls from Manassas Assembly attended their meeting to help out
with the ceremony. Allison, Katie, Sami, Isabella, Vanessa, Eliza,
Dalanie, Gigi and myself were in attendance. We were lucky enough to be
part of welcoming Jazmin into Rainbow, and it was a really special
experience. Not only did we get to see our sister assembly grow, but we
also got to help our friends. Jazmin has joined an incredible group of
girls, and we can’t wait to see what they do next!

Christmas Luau

Christmas Luau – 12/18/2019

After partying every other day for the past week, I managed to get myself to the final event, the Manassas Christmas Luau.  The room was festively decorated.  Grass skirts and flower lays were everywhere.  There was plenty of food and Dad Bobby was making drinks to order.  Unfortunately, I was too tired to do the limbo dance.  It seemed like everyone had a good time and it was great seeing people from other assemblies there.  I didn’t stay for the 50/50 raffle so I gave my tickets to Joella and headed out to make it an early evening.

Manassas Christmas Party

Manassas Christmas Party – 12/18/2019

This year I was tasked with planning the Manassas Assembly Christmas party.  It was held following the meeting.  The food included pizza, cake, cookies and drinks.  We started the party with the gift exchange which was very civilized compared to what I witnessed at the BHS ILITE Robotics party.  Then we heard the winners for the ugly sweater contest and most festive dressed contest.  After that we play musical chairs.  Let me just say that I apologize to everyone who may have been injured during this game.  I had no idea it would get so physical!  Several people just sat out from the start since it is a competitive game and they had festive outfits on that restricted movement.  It seemed like everyone had a good time.  Can’t wait until next year!

Writing Goals

Posted in Blog on March 17th, 2020 by Christi Reed

My Intent

I spent one Friday evening at the Manassas Masonic Lodge with several of my Rainbow sisters.  We watched a TED talk and proceeded to dive into our goals for ourselves in the coming year.  Once we partnered up and discussed how to put our goals into a single word we got to work.  We made jewelry!  Either a bracelet or a necklace (or both in some cases) based on the word or words that we arrived at for our goals in the coming year.  It was a fun experience, and now there is a secret letter in the floor in the dining room of the lodge left by an overzealous WA.  Next time you are there see if you can find it!
