Being a protem for another assembly is a great honor and it is very entertaining. I get to see how different Assemblies act and how they perform ritual. I also get to see familiar and new faces, like when I was a protem for the Springfield initiation. I was able to meet the new ladies who I would help make Rainbow Girls and spend time with the Springfield girls. I would recommend serving as protem for other girls so they can also have a fun, social experience and see what the other Assemblies in our order are like.

Maribel – Manassas Assembly #13

On Thursday, July 29th, a few girls from Manassas went to serve dinner at the Warrenton Lodge. They were having a family dinner right before their meeting.  The Rainbow Girls were asked to serve, and we were also given a table to decorate and have as a sort of “rainbow booth” where people could come learn more about Rainbow! Once the dinner started, the Rainbow Girls served food and the moms who were there ran our table. We worked from 5:30 to 8:00, serving food, cleaning, and meeting children who attended the dinner. Eliza, as our Worthy Advisor, was given the opportunity to speak about what Rainbow is, and what we do for our community. Mom Priscilla was then able to speak a bit on what Rainbow can do for a girl, from a mother’s perspective. We did meet a young girl who we hope will soon be a pledge member. She and her brother had a blast with the glow-sticks from our table!  It was a great night full of food and laughter and we were so happy to build up our bonds with the Warrenton  Lodge!

Allison – Manassas #13

The evening of July 24th, I attended the Conclave Dance. Personally, I prefer to sit on the sides at a dance, but I still had an absolute blast! It was so much fun to watch everyone dancing and seeing all the real moments that would be later captured by Mom Erin’s pictures! It was a great time to meet new people, catch up with friends, and make new memories!

Allison – Manassas #13

On Sunday, July 24th, Samantha was installed as Worthy Advisor of Richmond Assembly! It was a fun theme, “Finding Magic From Within”, that allowed for a lot of fun watching the installation! I loved how the ‘court wizard’ sent Samantha on a ‘quest’ for her gavel and was presented with her mascots as ‘companions for the quest’! The Installing Team did an exceedingly beautiful job, and the music was very fitting for the theme! The decorations, food, and carrying pieces all were beautiful in furthering her theme and making us all feel like we were on a quest through the forest! I know Richmond Assembly is going to have a blast this term with Samantha leading them all to find their inner magic!
