Norfolk Assembly Installation

Ella, Cheryl, Samantha, Natalie and I attended the Norfolk Installation. Mary was getting installed as the Worthy Advisor for Norfolk Assembly. It took around 4-5 hours for us to to get to Norfolk from Ashburn. We were a bit late but the Assembly waited for us so that Ella could carry in the Bible. We quickly changed, put on our masks and rushed inside. We took our seats and waited for it to start. The installation had a beach theme and was beautiful. After the installation we took photos with everybody. We then changed and one of the moms took us to see a Halloween maze in the Norfolk Granby Temple building. Then me and some of the girls and moms went out to grab a bite to eat. It was so good to be able to see everyone and be part of the installation.

Happiness is Ashburn Assembly’s Installation

Happiness is Ashburn Assembly’s Installation.

       On Saturday, August 1st, Ashburn Assembly #11 had their installation of officers. Lorkin was installed as Worthy Advisor. Her theme is Nature’s Beauty and her motto is “The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson. Her mascot is Totoro from “My Neighbor Totoro”. A tent was set up outside the lodge allowing everyone to pick prepackaged refreshments then go outside under the tent while social distancing.

Fredericksburg Installation: July 5

               On July 5, 2020, Fredericksburg Assembly had a virtual installation of officers! I was so happy that I got the chance to attend this exciting day for Erin, who is the next Worthy Advisor for her Assembly! The way that the installation took place was a little different, but it was still very beautiful. It was so exciting to see all of the girls in their new positions. Congratulations to Erin for being installed and I cannot wait to see her leadership and fun activities throughout her term!

Herndon DeMolay Installation

Herndon DeMolay Installation – April 11, 2020

On Saturday, April 11, Herndon Assembly had a zoom installation due to COVID-19. This was very out of the ordinary for sure!  The lodge room was set up as it normally would be, however, all the DeMolay members and installing officers were in different places.  Installing officers were not all in Virginia, and there were some impressive visitors too!  Some guests were from as far away as South America. I could see a couple VA Rainbow members as well.  I’m sure this will be a very interesting term.
