Kempsville DeMolay Installation

Posted in Blog on March 27th, 2016 by Webmaster

DeMolay InstallationHampton Assembly attended the Kempsville Chapter DeMolay Installation on a recent Saturday night. Jared was elected Master Councilor. All the boys did a wonderful job and they had so many visitors they had to add chairs on the sidelines and in the West. Dad Williams did the Flower Talk and we were all impressed with his ritual work.

Afterwards there was a dance and lots of people stayed and hung out until late.

Roanoke DeMolay Installation

Posted in Blog on March 25th, 2016 by Webmaster

Roanoke DeMolayRachal and I travelled on a rainy Sunday to Roanoke to attend their Installation. It is always fun to go there and see the guys. They don’t get many visitors because they are so far away and they don’t have Rainbow Girls nearby. Tidewater and Kempsville Demolay also went. They were happy to see us. Keith Yancey was their new Master Councilor. The Installation was very nice. At the reception we had sandwiches and chips while we sat and visited with everyone. It was nice to catch up wth them since we don’t see them often.

On the way home, we did some sight seeing and took lots of pictures. It is a long drive but we love getting to spend time together.

Much Rainbow Love,
Olivia

Amaranth Grand Court Installation

Posted in Blog on March 19th, 2016 by Webmaster

On February 13th, Hampton Assembly went to the Grand Amaranth Installation. This was the first Amaranth Installation I’ve ever been to and it was beautiful. Julie Gangsler went in as Grand Royal Matron and she asked us to be there to help hand out programs, carry ins, and so that she can promote our organizations. She is a huge supporter of the youth and it has been wonderful getting to know her. The uncrowning and crowning ceremonies were absolutely amazing (along with the crowns themselves). All of the people were so welcoming and friendly. There were so many people who asked us about Rainbow and told us the stories of their youth. Everything looked so well rehearsed during the ceremony and their floor work was stunning. I could not have asked for a better first experience.

Rainbow Girls on the Road

Posted in Blog on March 15th, 2016 by Webmaster

Rainbow Girls on the RoadOn January 30, Rachal and I had a particularly busy weekend.

First, in the morning we were up early and attended the Richmond Installation. They did an awesome job and collected lots of jeans for their charity “Jeans for Teens “. We had some food and cake and then we were on our way to Fredericksburg. Rachal was their Installing Marshall. They raised a lot of money for their charity during the silver collection. While there, we ran into many other Rainbow Girls and friends who were also traveling that day.

After a quick bite to eat, we jumped in the car to head back to Norfolk. Later that evening we were helping DJ the Winter Ball. Norfolk Assembly and Norfolk Chapter had an amazing turnout at the dance. Rachal and I had so much fun helping with the music and we were happy their dance was a success. (Read more about that here.)

It was a long day but one we will always remember. There is no better way to spend a Saturday than traveling around the State visiting with all your friends.

Much Rainbow Love,
Olivia
