Happy 50th Anniversary Hampton Assembly No. 2

Posted in Blog on August 31st, 2025 by admin

As Virginia’s oldest, active Rainbow Assembly, Hampton Assembly #2 proudly celebrated its 50th Anniversary with an unforgettable evening of tradition, friendship, and joy! Members past and present came together with Rainbow family from across Virginia, and even South Carolina to honor this incredible milestone. Guests enjoyed heartfelt remarks from those in attendance, as well as special remarks from Hampton’s very first Worthy Advisor, connecting the Assembly’s rich history to its vibrant present. The evening featured a beautiful Bible Retirement Ceremony, written by Hampton Member and Junior Past Grand Worthy Advisor of Virginia, Elise, marking the conclusion of the original Bible, used since the Assembly’s Institution in 1975, and the introduction of a new Bible to guide us for decades to come. The evening was filled with joy, laughter, and lasting memories—a fitting tribute to fifty-years of excellence and a bright future ahead!

Rainbow Girl Reports:

On August 23rd, 2025 Hampton Assembly had its 50th anniversary for their Assembly. The Hampton girls retired their Bible, which is the first time in Virginia Rainbow history. For a girl who just got in a year ago this was really cool to watch. They had great food like fruit trays, veggie trays, BBQ sandwiches, cake, and other desserts. Before the Bible ceremony, they had people talk about how Rainbow had changed their lives. One of the stories that was said talked about how when they were a little girl and they was at an event, she would always be amazed by the Rainbow girls because they looked like princesses. We had girls from South Carolina come too. It was really cool that both jurisdictions could come together for such an amazing ceremony, since Virginia became its own jurisdiction. After the Bible ceremony, all of the majority and current Rainbow girls sang My Rainbow Dreams. This 5 was made by the Hampton Assembly and the Norfolk Assembly now uses it too during our meetings. I went to this event because I wanted to support my Rainbow sisters. Over all it was a wonderful event and I’m so honored I could be there. (By Macie R)

Norfolk Assembly No. 15 End of Term Meeting and Installation of Officers

Posted in Blog on August 25th, 2025 by admin

On July 27th, Norfolk Assembly celebrated their 10th anniversary. This was their last meeting before they held their installation; it was also Becca’s last meeting as Worthy Advisor. She was the Worthy Advisor for Norfolk Assembly for three consecutive terms. For this meeting, I was lucky enough to pro-temp as Faith for Norfolk Assembly. They had every single station filled. Becca decided to open the meeting so the pledges could see it as well. Throughout the whole meeting, many kind words were given, tears were shed, and laughs filled the room. After the meeting, we celebrated with food and cake. I cannot wait to see what Norfolk Assembly does next. By Gabriella O.

On August 10th, I had the opportunity to attend Norfolk’s Installation of Officers, alongside Natalie F., Mom Erin P., and Mom J. Not only was the car ride there a fun time, but the Norfolk girls made the day even better with their cheerful and musical attitudes for their High School Musical term. Chloe V. went in as Worthy Advisor, doing an excellent job throughout. The day was filled with lots of fun, singing, and laughter, making for a great visit. I always love getting to visit Norfolk Assembly, and I can’t wait to see them all again soon. By Noelle F.

On Sunday August 10th Norfolk assembly number 15 held its installation of officers. There was a great showing of Masons, Eastern star, Jobies, and the deMolay in attendance. Chloe was installed as worthy advisor and was crowned by her mother and presented the gravel by her brother and father.

Becca received her past worthy advisor pen after serving Norfolk for three terms and she will be missed. Emily, the grand worthy advisor and Mom Erin Pendleton, the supreme deputy, were also in attendance and presented Becca, Alaina, and mom Christy with bear pens that symbolized their commitment to Rainbow.

A reception was held afterwards where a taco bar with wonderful food was eaten. High School Musical was the theme and was shown in cookies and decorations throughout. By Alaina N.

Hampton Assembly No. 2 Installation of Officers by Sydney A. and Noelle F.

Hampton’s theme this term is “Finding Your O’hana with Hampton Assembly” based on the Lilo and Stitch movie. The members of Hampton and their installing officers arrived early to practice and finish setting up before the installation service at 2:00pm August 3rd. Gabi was installed as Worthy Advisor, Sydney as Worthy Associate Advisor, Claire as Charity, Penelope as Faith, Lois as Chaplain, and Elise as Drill Leader. This term, Hampton Assembly is supporting the Newport News Scottish Rite and their haunted house fundraiser. Following the service Hampton Assembly and their guests gathered for refreshments. BY SYDNEY A.

On August 3rd, I had the honor of attending Hampton Assembly’s Installation of Officers. Their theme was inspired by “Lilo and Stitch,” bringing focus to the importance of family. Gabriella is tying her charity and service project together to raise money and bring awareness to the Newport News Scottish Rite Foundation. Her mascot, Stitch, is a clear representation of what she loves most. (Other than Rainbow, of course.) The installation ceremony was filled with fun and love, showcasing the beauty of family and friendship that Rainbow brings. I look forward to seeing the members of Hampton grow in their new offices, and I look forward to joining them in their events soon.  BY NOELLE F.

Summertime Mock Lodge by Gabriella O.

Posted in Blog on July 21st, 2025 by admin

On July 21st, Yorktown Lodge No. 205 held a mock lodge for the youth groups. This meant that they let the three youth groups: Demolay, Job’s Daughters, Rainbow act out what they think happens during the Masons’ meetings. We even got to dress up and look like the Masons. Overall, it was a super fun night, and the Masons enjoyed hosting the youth groups. I hope that in the future, more lodges will give us the opportunity to do an event like this.
