Manassas Assembly held a Murder Mystery Party on August 3rd! It was my favorite event of the term so far. It was called Killing for the Crown and almost everyone attended. The setting was a beauty pageant and all the girls in the assembly were contestants or judges. Invitations came in blue boxes with white ribbons, and contained a tiara, pearls, tic tacs, and clues for the murder! Everyone was assigned a character, and none of them were nice! When everyone arrived they got a sash with their title and pretend money. Everyone stayed in character although it was hard sometimes. Halfway through the evening the murder occurred, and one of our pledges was the victim! She was a good sport about it and had fun haunting people as a ghost for the rest of the party. Then we collected clues, and at the end of the evening everyone voted on who they thought did it. Prizes were given out for who solved the mystery, the best costume, the best actor, and who had the most pretend money. It was super fun and a great bonding experience for our assembly.
