Kings Dominion

On Saturday May 28th, Manassas Assembly (along with a few Richmond girls) traveled to Kings Dominion for the day! A few of us split into groups to enjoy the park and rides. My group went on the White Canyon Rapids quite a few times and even ran into Sam and Dad Paul about to do the giant swing. We had a great time and can’t wait to go again.

Bowling / Laser Tag

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On February 6th, Manassas Assembly held a bowling and laser tag event at Uptown Alley. We split into a few different lanes and started up our bowling games. We had a ton of fun encouraging the girls and did a few crazy bowling challenges! Afterwards we went and participated in a hyper competitive laser tag game which was a ton of fun!

Camp Know Where

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On Friday April 15th starting at 12 pm, was Camp Know Where at Bull Run campground park. There were about 20 people at the event, and it lasted until Saturday April 16th. First, we went to the play area of the campground and played Gaga Ball along with corn hole and crocket. We drove back to the site and roasted hotdogs and smores over the campfire. It was mildly hot weather but nice out. We played more games and ran around, we all fell asleep and woke up with sausage, eggs, and croissants for breakfast.  We then played a short game and packed up around noon on Saturday. It was a very fun camping trip and cool to get to learn more about the other girls!

Murder Mystery Dinner- 3/5/22

Posted in Blog on April 17th, 2022 by Christi Reed

Following the Grand Visitation, the state Murder Mystery Dinner was held on March 5th, 2022 at the Kena Shrine in Manassas. The theme this time was “Once Upon a Murder” featuring a ball held by Prince Charming after Cinderella’s disappearance. I was cast as the step-sister, Griselda, who I had fun portraying, and we spent the night eating dinner and mixing around socially. In a shocking and completely unpredictable turn of events, Snow White, portrayed by our GWA Kaitlyn was ‘killed!’ Oh no! The rest of the evening was spent trying to solve the mystery, with only one person being able to correctly identify the culprit. My friends and I came close to solving the mystery, but we were slightly off. Eliza and I were, however, able to pool enough fake money together to win a prize, which was our true mission from the beginning. Afterwards, I stayed after to help clean up the room and pack all of the many decorations away. Special thanks to Mom Joanne for always putting together such amazing murder mystery parties for us! Events like this would not be possible without her time and attention to detail. I love events like this, and I hope we can have more of them in the future. Plus, the Cinderella theme is making me excited for Grand Assembly!
