Sweetheart Ball

Posted in Blog on February 26th, 2017 by Webmaster

Hampton Assembly drove far and wide and ended up at the Sweetheart Ball in Fairfax! The northern region put on a fun night with balloons and pink hearts. There was a big turnout and lots of energy. Before it started, two Tidewater DeMolay members played ballon volleyball one of my Hampton Sisters and me. We definitely worked up a sweat! There was fun music, new and old. They also held a lip sync battle and many teams competed but the winner was Mom J’s granddaughter. She was so cute with her sunglasses! The dance was a great time and although I got back home at 3am, it was worth it! I can’t wait to do it again!

Zombies in Hampton!

Posted in Blog on February 24th, 2017 by Webmaster

Hampton Assembly was honored with the opportunity to preform for the Grand Court of Amaranth at their reception. We did a play about how cell phones turned people into zombies and an electronic toothbrush was the solution to ending the horrible epidemic! The ladies and men there laughed and smiled out our outrageous performance. We definitely brought some life into that crowd and had a prospect to help! Tidewater DeMolay also performed a baseball skit and a dance in blow up suits. It was a fun night with laughs and friendship.

Sleepover and Play Practice

Posted in Blog on February 22nd, 2017 by Webmaster

Hampton held a sleepover at Monitor Lodge as well as a play practice. We had a prospect and she was excited to play games and hang out with us. It’s always great to see younger girls eager to get involved with Rainbow! We played many games like “The Newlywed Game” where you had to guess facts about your partner, “Minute to Win It” games, drawing games, and a game where you put mouthpieces in and tried to speak! We all had a great time and were able to get some practice in for a play we get to perform. It wasn’t just the girls having a good time, the parents had a good time too! They stayed up later than we did and also took joy in scaring us in the dark! It was a great night and I hope to have more sleepovers like that in my term.

2016 Job’s Daughters Pageant

Posted in Blog on December 6th, 2016 by Webmaster

rachal-at-jobs-daughters-pageantjobs-daughters-pageantHampton Assembly went to the Job’s Daughters Pageant to support our Sisters. We were so proud to see Camran up there as the outgoing Miss Congeniality and Scarlet and Leanne as two of the Pageant contestants. It was hosted at the Doubletree where we have our Grand Assembly, so I felt very at home as soon as I walked in. Seeing all my Job’s Sisters all dressed up and excited to be there made me so happy. The Pageant was lovely. Misha (also a fellow Rainbow Girl of Springfield) and Camran had the theme of “Ohana” and all things Hawaii!!! Their speeches were beautiful and so was every girl on that stage. Afterwards, all the DeMolay, Jobies, and Rainbow Girls piled into the dance room and moved and grooved the night away. It was wonderful and it reminds me of the reason why I joined Rainbow in the first place: friends like family, amazing times, and lots of memories.
