Grand Assembly Opening Session June 25

Posted in Blog on July 13th, 2021 by Christi Reed

This was my first year as a Grand Officer where Virginia had a normal Grand Assembly.  The first day was exciting!  I went to the Grand Officer practices both in the morning and then again in the afternoon.  Opening session was great because my escort was my Mother Advisor, Mom Ange.  There were fewer visitors than previous Grand Assemblies, but I was still glad that we were able to be in person for a normal Grand Assembly.  Mom Paula made matching masks for all the Grand Officers which made it extra special for us!  Thanks Mom Paula, I will keep my special masks always.

Busch Gardens Day – June 24, 2021

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2021 by Christi Reed

To celebrate our last chance to have a trip to Busch Gardens as part of Grand Assembly, Quantico-Freedom #6 planned an assembly fun event.  We arrived around noon to start our day of fun.  This was my first big outing since the pandemic began.  It was nice to get out and enjoy something normal again but many of the rides in the park were not working, there weren’t any shows, and the food services were limited.  At almost 8pm we gathered together in England for a group picture and then got ready to head to the Double Tree Hotel for the night.  This was a great beginning to a wonderful Grand Assembly weekend.

Scrapbooking June 6, 2021

Posted in Blog on July 11th, 2021 by Christi Reed

Quantico-Freedom Assembly #6 held a scrapbooking event on June 6th.  We wanted to document all the events that the assembly was able to hold in a year with a pandemic in progress.  We got a good start on the scrapbook, but we will need to hold several more sessions before we can get all the pictures in the scrapbook.  It was fun looking through all the pictures to see all the fun things we were able to accomplish under unique conditions.  I look forward to making new memories this coming grand year.

Grand Assembly 2021 – Sunday

Posted in Blog on July 10th, 2021 by Christi Reed

On Sunday we attended the Grand Installation for the new year, and Grand Worthy Advisor Kaitlyn revealed her new theme, “Have Courage and Be Kind” which is inspired by Cinderella. It was my first time being installed as a Grand Officer on the Grand floor, as I was unable to attend the session the previous year. I have always looked up to Kaitlyn, so I am very happy to serve as one of her officers. We took pictures, got our new merchandise, and finally said goodbye after a long week. I am excited to fill the station of Grand Nature and Grand Representative to Nebraska for the upcoming year and to make more memories with my Rainbow sisters!

In Rainbow Love and Service,

Zoe
