Kings Dominion Fun Day – 9/26/21

Posted in Blog on February 22nd, 2022 by Christi Reed

On September 26th, Quantico-Freedom Assembly took a fun trip to Kings Dominion. We left in the mid-morning in time for the 2pm opening of the park. We spent time going on roller coasters and playing games at the arcades. We ended up with several stuffed animals, including a pink elephant that I won with my superb bowling abilities! We stayed for a few hours and walked through some haunted houses before making the drive home. I love getting to make trips to parks like this because I get to see my friends and have fun with them!

Posted in Blog on February 21st, 2022 by Christi Reed

On August 22nd, Springfield Assembly #14 held their Installation of Officers at 6 pm. Cordelia was Installed as Worthy Advisor, and her theme is centered around painting and art. The Assembly’s charity for the term is the Scottish Rite Children’s Language program. The Assembly has some newer members, and they Installed a lot of Officers! It was a beautiful Installation, and I am looking forward to seeing my friends at their events this term!

Manassas Initiation

Posted in Blog on August 30th, 2021 by Christi Reed

On August 10th, my assembly had an initiation for our candidate, Lily. My station is Charity, so I had a long part not only for the opening, but I also had the Pot of Gold speech. I was quite nervous waiting for the color stations to be done with their parts, because this is the first time I had performed a part like this. But it went well, and we had refreshments after the meeting, which included a giant cake that said “Welcome Lily” in big frosting letters. I am excited for when we have our next initiation.
