Job's_Pageant
On November 28, I traveled to Williamsburg with some fellow Rainbow Girls from Norfolk to the Jobs Daughters Pageant. It was my first time going. It was very interesting. There were a lot of people there. I even ran into my old friend Allie from Richmond! The tension was very high when they began to announce the winners. Our very own Misha Capuno from Springfield won! After the Pageant they had a dance and snacks.

Richmond Assembly is Growing!

We held an initiation in December for Madi, who we met at Masonic Family Day and who came to our Assembly’s Halloween party too. Madi’s initiation was wonderful. Everyone knew their Ritual and was prepared for their parts. Several Majority members also filled stations and we were very grateful they could help. We even got to sing Happy Birthday to the State Rainbow Dad, Dad Grist, who surprised us by visiting and giving the Lambskin Apron lecture to our newest member. At the end of the initiation, everyone talked, took lots of pictures and ate cupcakes. We are very excited to welcome Madi to our Assembly! We also initiated Sophia a few months ago and Victoria at Grand Assembly, and will be holding an initiation of a pledge in February. Richmond Assembly is growing and we are so excited!

Movie_Night
Everyone loves seeing a movie, especially Hampton Assembly! On November 22, we went to see Mockingjay Part 2 at Cinema Cafe. We met early and played a few video games before the show. The food was great and the movie was very exciting. It is always nice to have the chance to see each other outside of the Lodge.

Christmas on MacArthur

In December, Richmond Assembly participated in Christmas on MacArthur. The parade was amazing. Once the parade started we got to see dogs for adoption, clowns, and listen to great music. At our Rainbow booth, we got to teach girls about Rainbow and tell the parents of younger kids about our Rainbow Pledges. We also gave out Rainbow bracelets and did personality quizzes that told girls what “color” their personality was. Most of the girls who took the test were “green” and me and Jessica were happy since we are “green” too. Green says:

“You’re responsible, fair, and goal-oriented. You make friends easily, are good at following directions, and can’t relax with homework hanging over your head. You work best in teams and love to win. But you can become too focused on your own goals and brush off your friends in a mean way when they don’t fit in with your plans. What can Rainbow offer you? Lots of friends! Lots of opportunities to compete for awards, individually and as a team. In Rainbow you will learn that we all have different strengths and weaknesses, and when each person does what they do best, you can overlook people’s faults, because the Assembly as a whole wins!”

Later on we got pizza and soda. So the parade and prospect booth were really great and we hope we can do it again next year!
