April 26th meeting

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On April 26th, 2022, at 7:30 pm was a rainbow meeting along with the 7 pm pledge meeting. We had one of the pledges that got to rap the gavels for the pledge meeting which she was very excited about. The rainbow meeting went great as well, we had a lot of information that was shared, and we talked with Mom Nancy about upcoming Grand assembly. Awards for the centennial program were handed out as well during the meeting. After the meeting we had Alison and Eliza bring refreshments which were vanilla and chocolate pudding and packaged peaches with bottled water. As well as after the meeting, we got to meet Avery’s 7-week-old chocolate lab named Coco who was adorable! It was a very exciting meeting, and we did a lot of socializing and talking after the meeting!

What nature means to me

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

Nature is all around us. Nature is an unforgettable thing. Nature is the birds and the bees, the flowers and the trees, the sweet smell of grass on a mildew day. Nature is the sunset on the horizon, the sunrise across the ocean. It is the deer in the forest, the fish in the sea. Nature is a stunning morning. When you feel the wind in your hair, that’s nature. When the sun beats down on you, that’s nature. Nature is the cool air of the spring. Nature is the turtles in the lake. Nature is when you look in a field and say “wow”. Nature is beauty. That’s what nature means to me.

Mason’s Dinner

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

The Mason’s dinner was on Friday, April 1st, 2022, at 6:30 pm.  We showed up at 5:30 to start helping with setting up the room and the plates. When everyone was ready for dinner, and we said our prayer. We did a self-serve this time and I think it worked better because people got to choose how much food they wanted on their plate. For dessert we had a few different types of cakes and a few different types of cookies. It was a very nice dinner!

Camp Know Where

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On Friday April 15th starting at 12 pm, was Camp Know Where at Bull Run campground park. There were about 20 people at the event, and it lasted until Saturday April 16th. First, we went to the play area of the campground and played Gaga Ball along with corn hole and crocket. We drove back to the site and roasted hotdogs and smores over the campfire. It was mildly hot weather but nice out. We played more games and ran around, we all fell asleep and woke up with sausage, eggs, and croissants for breakfast.  We then played a short game and packed up around noon on Saturday. It was a very fun camping trip and cool to get to learn more about the other girls!
