Last Saturday, October 1st, Springfield Assembly, led by WA Hailey, volunteered their weekend to help clean-up a segment of Accotink Creek by Fullerton Road. The clean-up was part of an effort by “Friends of Accotink.” In spite of the rain and high water preventing them from a total clean-up, the girls gathered an amazing array of debris including a shopping cart and bottles. Others present were Sisters Triska and Jeanne as well as Mom Rose, Mom Edna, and Dad Harold.

Norfolk DeMolay Installation

Posted in Blog on September 28th, 2016 by Webmaster

Norfolk Installation of Officers on September 18th, I attended Norfolk DeMolay Chapter’s Installation of Officers. I got to spend some time with my Rainbow Sisters from Hampton. It was a really fun time. I sat with them and we chatted before the Installation. Mateo went in as the Master Councilor for this term. The Chapter Sweetheart was the Honored Queen of Bethel 48. They had a great turnout. Mateo was most excited about his chocolate fountain.I can’t wait to see what this term holds for the Norfolk DeMolay.

Norfolk’s Stated Dinner

Posted in Blog on September 26th, 2016 by Webmaster

South Norfolk Lodge had their lodge dinner on September 6th. Kaitlyn (Worthy Advisor), Kaiti (Chaplin) Sarah (pledge), Gabi (pledge), Chloe (pledge) Alessia (pledge) and I went to the dinner. They served Chicken Brunswick stew and cornbread. The food was really good and well cooked. Mr. Chum cooked the dinner for us, as he has done for us many times in the past. Many of the other Lodges showed up to have dinner with us.

I can’t wait until we can do this again.

Hampton’s End of Summer Sleepover

Posted in Blog on September 21st, 2016 by Webmaster

hampton-dads-dress-up hampton-end-of-summer-funAfter Hampton Assembly’s End of Summer party, we held a sleepover. It started off with Pictionary. It was hilarious watching the girls try to draw out a movie or action and it was even funnier hearing everyone’s guesses. Then we played Minute-To-Win-It games. One of the games we always tend to play at sleepovers is putting a popsicle stick in your mouth and trying to balance as many marshmallows as you can on it. This ended in a marshmallow fight when we all got a little to excited over who we thought won. Earlier in the sleepover, I had to leave and had to miss the dressing up of two of our dads, but the pictures I saw made me laugh out loud. The girls also helped our GWA, Rachal, with decorations for upcoming events. After all the fun and games, we went upstairs and hung out for a little while then fell asleep. It was a great time. It’s always wonderful spending time with my sisters!
