Paint night

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On May 22nd at 3 pm was paint night. There were 2 options a sunset scene and a sunrise scene. I decided to go with the sunrise scene. I did not add a boat to mine because I think it was going to be too much and take away focus. There was lots of laughter. Some people did free style painting. Alison was a great instructor and did both the sunrise and sunset at the same time! There were chips and sodas as snacks. I think everyone was pleased with their paintings.

The 1st Rainbow meeting for May was on May 10, 2022 starting at 7:30 pm. It was also Jean night so many people took advantage paid $5 to wear jeans. We talked about strawberry night, and many other events coming up. Mom Nancy collected money from girls for Grand Assembly. We also brought in chap sticks and lip balm for favors at Grand Assembly. Refreshments were Oreo and Hershey cupcakes. I had an Oreo cupcake and it was very excellent!

May 24, 2022, at 7 pm, was the pledge meeting which we had a lot of rainbow girls helping with. At 7:30 the Rainbow girls meeting was held and there was a lot of excitement about the last day of school coming up soon. We talked about upcoming Grand Assembly, the car wash, the garage sale, and a couple of dinners we have been asked to help with. After the meeting we had cookies, soda, brownies, chocolate milk and many other yummies!

Kings Dominion

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

It was nice weather but a little hot. We went on the Tumble; the line was long but worth it. We went to get in the line for twisted Timbers again and this time we got to ride. It was fun, and we got to go upside down a lot. Then we went on Apple Zapple because we were nearby. That was a lot of sloshing around because there were quick turns. We went to get waters and snow cones to cool down. We went on Racer 75 and I didn’t like that one because it hurt my back. I later realized partly because it was 75-year-old.   Frani, my mom, and I went on the Tumbili which was worth waiting in the line for so long. We ate lunch and then went to the Intimidator which is the biggest tallest ride at Kings dominion. It is 305 feet tall. I passed out after we started going down. It was a 5/5. But overall was fun and not a long wait in line. We played some games and then searched for the race cars, but they said they were shut down for the night.  We played some more games. We went on the carousel.
