Generations of Masonic Youth in Manassas

Posted in Blog on June 13th, 2018 by Webmaster

Manassas Assembly has many adult supporters that were involved in the Masonic Youth groups when they were younger! Our very own Pledge Mom was actually a Pledge! Who knew?! Mom Vanessa was a Pledge from Fairfax Assembly. Mom Nancy, our Mother Advisor was a Rainbow Girl from Fairfax Assembly. We have many other adults who were involved in the Masonic family as younger kids! We are so glad they are able to share their experiences with us!

Posted in Blog on June 12th, 2018 by Webmaster

Manassas Assembly holds Line Officer meetings before our regular meetings once a month. Our current Line Officers are Kate, Dalanie, Zoey, Isabella, and myself. Our Mother Advisor is also present. We meet to discuss our upcoming events and make sure everyone is carrying out their duties correctly, so everything flows as smooth as possible. Our Line Officers are the leaders of our assembly!

Manassas Adopts-a-Spot

Posted in Blog on June 11th, 2018 by Webmaster

The Adopta-Spot was held on April 22nd, on Ashton Avenue.  The Girls who came were Katie, Sami, Alyssa, JoElla, and me.  The chaperones were my nana, Mom Angie and Dad Bill. We arrived at the Lodge at 11:30 and talked about who would ride in which cars and then we went to Ashton Ave.  As the Girls stood in a circle, Dad Bill explained the directions and safety rules to us.  We all grabbed an orange vest and a trash picker-upper.  We broke out in 3 groups of three with two girls and one adult on each side.  We found lots of weird trash.  I took pictures. After we finished, we headed back to the Lodge where we found the Girls doing a little scrapbook.  My Nana and I went the very next day and printed out the pictures.  It was a nice day to pick up trash and it was Earth Day!

Manassas Visits MAHOVA

Posted in Blog on June 10th, 2018 by Webmaster

Manassas Assembly has been communicating with residents from the Masonic Home. We visited MAHOVA for the first time this term in February. We all love them so much we wrote letters to them! Many girls in our Assembly have multiple “grandparents”! Our Assembly decided to plan another visit in April on our way to competitions. That time we had lunch with them and socialized. We visited the King and Queen of the Home. Mr. and Mrs. Swansey took us around the corner from their room to a new resident that had just moved in a week before our visit. She didn’t know much about us, but she definitely loved the visit! I decided to write a letter to her. Our Assembly has even received some letters back from our grandparents! I love the Masonic Home, all of the residents make me so happy and I wish I had more time to spend with everyone! They all have something so unique about them and they are so special to visit with!
