What Hope means to me

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

What hope means to me is to believe and trust something or someone. Hope means to me is to never give up on that something or someone. Hope is important in everyone’s life. Having hope in someone is to put your heart in their hands. To have hope in something is to put your heart in the belief of it. Hope is when you wish that something occurs. Hope is the idea of something happening. Hope is a dream you wish that will come true. Hope is aspiration and ambition.  Hope is love.

What charity means to me

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

What charity means to me is to give instead of receiving. Charity is when you give knowing you aren’t going to get anything back. Charity means you give because you want to do better in the world. Charity is giving, not because you get anything but because of the goodness in your heart. Charity is being unselfish and kind to others and yourself. Charity is helping other people in your community without being asked and without a complaint. Charity is doing what’s right not because you hope you get something back but because you have that feeling of complete and joy in helping to make the world a better place.

Paint Night

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On January 22nd , 2022, Manassas Assembly hosted a paint night.  We ended up painting a very beautiful purple water scene with a dock- and it was all led by Allison, who is absolutely amazing at painting, and we couldn’t thank her enough!  Every painting looked beautiful, and we even had a few people go “rouge” and paint their own beautiful masterpiece!  We all had a really fun time and it was a great way to just relax a bit.  I can’t wait for the next one.

Laser Tag

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On January 16th, 2022, Manassas Assembly had their laser tag event.  We ended up going to Uptown Alley.  We all arrived and decided to start with bowling, there were 2 teams of girls, and we had a lot of fun.  After we finished with bowling, we all got super excited and headed over to the laser tag portion.  We got all geared up and immediately started forming alliances… and of course talked a lot of smack to the others to get in the spirit of the game.  We played a few rounds and had a blast while doing it!  Then after we finished, some girls went out for food, and we all headed home.
