Grand Officer Practice

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On June 5th, the Grand Officers awoke bright and early for our pre- Grand Assembly practice. We rehearsed opening and closing, said our speaking parts to ritual advisors for approval, practiced the Book of Memories, and learned the marches in and out of the Assembly room. I love the station of Nature, and with Grand Assembly only a few weeks away I am super excited to show what I can do!

Grand Officer and Grand Representative Trip

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On June 4th, 2022 the Grand Officers and Representatives met at the New Kent welcome center to begin our driving scavenger hunt. I was unfortunately unable to complete the scavenger hunt, as I was feeling carsick, but I heard all about the adventure of finding Love signs at various places from there to St. Tammany Lodge. At the Lodge, we painted Love signs, ate burrito bowls for dinner, and played games like Pictionary and Uno!

Pennies 4 Paws Dinner

Pennies 4 Paws Dinner

On May 14th, the Pennies 4 Paws charity dinner was held after the GV. There was a baked potato bar, desserts, and drinks. There were also some opportunity baskets, and Ella did NOT want me to put tickets into the baking basket (I did anyway!) While I did not end up with a basket, I did get to hang out with some of my friends and finish homework for my classes, and the baked potatoes were excellent!

Homecoming Grand Visitation

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On May 14th, Quantico-Freedom Assembly travelled down south to attend the homecoming Grand Visitation. We picked up Anna on the way down and stopped for lunch before the GV. It was a fun event, with the best skit I have ever seen, depicting a college orientation for Kaitlyn. Mom J also announced her retirement as Supreme Inspector and named Dad Joe Grist as our new Supreme Deputy, which caused Mom Ange to cry. While it is sad to see this Grand year coming to a close, I can be assured that there are new and exciting things coming very soon.
