Masonic Family Day – 10/12/2019

On October 12, 2019 I went to Masonic Family Day in Richmond at MAHOVA.  We were a little later than expected due to construction traffic and a spider in the back of the car.  After stopping to set the spider free we got there at about 10:20am.  We met up with other VA Rainbow and walked in the parade.  Then we had lunch and some members of the Junior Grand Executive board volunteered to be hit with “pies” for money for charity.  I left after that because I had another event to go to for ILITE Robotics.  It was a fun morning.

DeMolay Fall Fest – 10/19/2019

After the Alzheimer’s Walk and breakfast, we met up at the Manassas Lodge to help with the DeMolay Fall Fest.  We helped prepare food for the DeMolay event.  Once the food was done, we set it out and served the DeMolay and their adult helpers.  I stayed until a little after 1pm and then I needed to go home and get ready for the Battlefield High School homecoming dance.  Another full day for this Rainbow Girl!

Alzheimer’s Walk – 10/19/2019

On Saturday, October 19, 2019I met up with other VA Rainbow members to do the Alzheimer’s Walk.  We did the short one-mile walk.  It was easy and we were done in less than half an hour.  I like the fact that lots of people brought their dogs on the walk.  Once we were done Kate and I went to McDonald’s to get breakfast.

Lodge Christmas Decorating

On November 24th, 2019, Quantico-Freedom Assembly helped the Masons and Eastern Star decorate John A. Lejeune Lodge #350 for Christmas. Those in attendance were JoElla, Kassie, Zoey, Britney, Dionna, Lillian, and myself. We held an Initiation practice prior to the decoration in preparation for an Initiation next week. After that, we put up Christmas trees, covered tables, put out centerpieces, decorated the windows and railways, and even made a very cute Christmas bunny for one of the bathroom decorations! We also were able to clean up our Rainbow Room a little bit. We had cookies for a snack, and afterwards we went to Panera Bread for a spirit night. The day was fun and the Lodge is ready for the Holidays!
