On October 11th, 2020, The Prince William County DeMolay held a craft fair at Manassah Lodge.  There were many booths with different items such as, Natural honey, Paparazzi (jewelry), Norwex (cleaning supplies), Shining sol (candles/scents),  Color street (dry nail polish), Usborne books, Pampered chef, Virginia Rainbow Grand Merch, fall décor, tickets for the DeMolay Fall-Scare-Fest, Beautiful Artwork (on bottles and jackets), and snacks.  All COVID-19 and social distancing precautions were met.  Everyone had a good time getting to walk around and look at/buy cool things.  All of the booths did a wonderful job, and everyone walked out happy!  It was a great day.

Colonial Ghost Tours

Posted in Blog on January 13th, 2021 by Christi Reed

On October 11th, 2020, Manassas Assembly held an event for colonial ghost tours in Alexandria.  A couple of different Assemblies showed up, which made the girls very happy.  The tours started off with our amazing and nice tour guide leading us to a house of spooky tales.  After that she directed us to a gelato shop.  Everyone was confused of why we were stopped at a gelato shop, until our tour guide explained a story of a girl who was burned in her wedding dress on her wedding day, and was to forever haunt the gelato shop.  After the scary story of the gelato shop, we were told stories of The Tomb Unknown Soldier of the Revolutionary War, a killing sailor who has not said his final words, and even got to learn about clothing of the colonial times!  Afterwards, we all decided to go back to the haunted gelato shop to get some spooky gelato on a rainy night, and we could’ve sworn we smelled smoke in there.  It was so much fun and really fascinating to learn about the ghost stories of Alexandria, and I hope I can learn more about them.

Attending 2 Zoom functions

Attending 2 Zoom functions

On July 11th, 2020, I logged onto Zoom and got to enjoy and support many of my Rainbow sisters at the same time.  At first, I logged on and got into the Quantico Freedom installation and got to enjoy a Frozen themed ceremony from the comfort of my own home.  Then after a little while I got another computer and logged onto another Rainbow Girl’s dance recital that was being broadcasted on Zoom.  It was so much fun to be able to watch a Rainbow Girl dance and others be installed at the same time while being able to support my Rainbow sisters under our circumstances.

Rainbow Blessings at National Harbor

Rainbow blessings at National Harbor 10/3/20-

Chloe and I saw a rainbow on the sidewalk on the way to start the baby shopping for my cousin Jacob’s baby girl. Chloe and I made a unicorn and  a teddy bear for my cousins Callie and her new baby sister coming in January. Chloe found the Dr. Seuss bear for the baby and it had the rainbow colors in it except for indigo. I found the unicorn with the rainbow stars on the feet and I made it for my cousin Callie. We ate lunch at Redstone bar. My dad took a picture of us at George Washington’s statue. One of my baby cousin’s outfits had a rainbow on it. We also found Marilyn Monroe’s face on a Pez candy dispenser.
