Being a New Worthy Advisor

Posted in Blog on August 12th, 2021 by Christi Reed

On June 19, 2021, Norfolk Assembly had its installation. I went in as Worthy Advisor. My theme was based on the movie, “Back to the Future” and my charity is Pennies for PAWS. I loved planning the installation because we got actual records to use as carrying pieces! We had nachos to eat (because who doesn’t love Diner food?) and had an awesome time! Our reception hall was decorated as the Cafe 80s from Back to the Future Part 2. I can’t wait for all of the fun events that have been planned for this term!

Richmond #10’s Installation

Posted in Blog on August 11th, 2021 by Christi Reed

On Saturday, July 24th, 2021, we had our installation at Manchester Lodge. Sammy, our incoming Worthy Advisor, and the Advisory Board did a really good job decorating and planning everything. We had to arrive at the lodge at 10am to practice and help get some things ready. It was nice to have an in-person installation again. We had
some of our Rainbow sisters from all over Virginia come and visit. Sammy did an amazing job and I know that her “Finding Magic From Within” term is going to be great!

Rainbow Pool Party

Posted in Blog on August 10th, 2021 by Christi Reed

Last Friday on July 23rd, our Assembly had a pool party and a “Pass the Torch” event at Grace’s house. We all had a blast doing karaoke, eating pizza, and swimming of course. We played fun games and loved Dad Joe’s brownies that Grace “willingly” shared. We all tried this game where you get two towels and cross together. We spent hours trying to untie the towels. Some of the girls spent the night, but we barely got any sleep. Overall, we had a really great time, and would love to do it again.

Canada Grand Assembly July 24, 2021

Posted in Blog on August 9th, 2021 by Christi Reed

While I didn’t have enough time to go to Richmond’s Installation this weekend, I was able to turn on Zoom and watch the afternoon session for Canada’s Grand Assembly.  This was a game session where everyone played a scavenger hunt paying homage to the missed Rainbow travel over nearly a year and a half since the pandemic started.  We went in search of things around our house that we would either take on travels like a passport or driver’s license to things we would get on a trip like our favorite souvenir.  This made me want to go visit Canada Rainbow when things open up and we can cross the border without restrictions.
